Who Conducts JEE Advanced Exam?

These candidates can be categorized into six groups:- Indian Nationals: This group comprises students who have completed their 12th grade from an Indian educational board recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. They are eligible to take the JEE Advanced examination.
- NRIs (Non-Resident Indians): NRIs can also appear for JEE Advanced under certain conditions. They must have completed their studies at a school or college outside India approved by the Association of International Schools (AIS) and acquired an entire academic year of education prior to the exam in India. Permission from IIT authorities is also necessary for NRI candidates.
- OCIs (Overseas Citizen of India): Holders of the OCI card can apply for and sit for JEE Advanced provided they meet all eligibility criteria and submit a valid OCI card issued by the Government of India at least one year before the examination date.
- Foreign Nationals: Foreign nationals can apply for JEE Advanced if they possess a valid student visa issued by the Government of India and have had less than 5 years of education in India preceding April 1st of the examination year. Further details about admissions for foreign nationals in IITs can be obtained by contacting IIT authorities during the admission process after successfully passing the entrance examination.
- PIOs (Persons Of Indian Origin): PIOs, who have resided abroad for 7 consecutive years or stayed outside India for over six months in each calendar year without a break before their current residence in India or prior to obtaining their passport, can enroll in JEE Advanced exams if they can provide proof that at least one parent held an Indian Passport or was permanently employed in an educational institution or research facility abroad before obtaining a visa under the PIO scheme on humanitarian grounds.
- Children of NRI Parents: Children born abroad to non-resident Indian parents may also be considered as foreign nationals. They can register as foreign nationals while filling the JEE Advanced application form, provided they meet other conditions, including having less than five years of education in India. These conditions should be met and maintained until the registration deadline.

Is Jee Advanced Objective or Subjective?
JEE Advanced follows a mixed-pattern format with objective questions.
