Cracking JEE in the first attempt is never easy, and doing it while preparing for both 11th and 12th is even tougher. For Mayank, the journey began with confusion, so many books, so many topics, and constant doubts about whether he could really make it. Like many aspirants, he struggled to find the right guidance, structure, and motivation to stay consistent.
Physics Wallah provided focused mentorship, comprehensive resources, and consistent practice, turning confusion into clarity and doubt into confidence. Regular tests helped him identify strengths and weaknesses, while small successes built his confidence step by step.
Every strong journey begins with one clear decision. For Mayank, that decision was choosing Physics Wallah at the very beginning of his preparation.
"Meri didi ne bataya tha ki Physics Wallah reasonable price mein coaching de raha hai.”
“Offline itne mein nahi mil sakte hai, isliye maine phir online coaching start kar di Arjuna 1.0 se"
Affordability and accessibility mattered. Quality coaching at a reasonable cost allowed him to begin without hesitation.
By enrolling in Arjuna 1.0, he entered a structured ecosystem with planned lectures, DPPs, revision, and tests. Instead of wasting time deciding what to study next, he followed a clear roadmap. That structure gave his preparation a solid foundation.
No journey starts with full confidence. In the beginning, even he questioned himself.
"Arjuna batch mein shuru shuru mein thoda doubt aaya tha, kyunki matlab kar payenge ya nahi"
What changed things were the regular short tests.
"Phir kuch test thode aasan the, halke se, to usmein ache marks aaye to usse confidence boost ho gaya"
Those early wins were important. They showed him that his effort was working. His confidence did not appear suddenly; it grew slowly through performance.
Once confidence started building, the next challenge was staying focused and not getting distracted by too many books. He kept it simple.
For Physics:
"HC Verma khareedi thi bas, uske kuch chapters kiye maine, baaki module se kiye"
For Maths and PYQs:
"Module se hi aapne PYQs bhi cover kar liye haan"
For Chemistry:
"Chemistry module se hi bas"
Instead of running after multiple sources, he trusted one system. Revising the same material again and again helped him gain depth instead of confusion.
There comes a moment in preparation when things start to feel real. For Mayank, that moment was scoring full marks in a test.
"JEE Mains ka ek test hua tha, usmein full marks aaye the, usse thoda confidence bahut zyada badh gaya tha"
This was more than just a score. It was validation. It proved to him that he could perform under exam-like conditions. From that point onwards, he studied with belief, not fear.
Confidence alone was not enough; consistent effort and discipline were key to sustaining his progress. Mayank followed a highly dedicated routine while balancing school and coaching.
He shared how he maximised his learning:
"Teachers se request karke lab me jaata tha, school me homework kar leta tha"
Even after school, he would go to the lab whenever he got a chance, clarifying doubts with teachers and practising hands-on problems. This shows his initiative, as he didn’t wait for perfect conditions; he created them.
"School se aake raat me thoda extra padhai kar leta tha, aur phir next day ke liye planning kar leta tha"
Evenings were dedicated to revising concepts, solving new questions, and preparing for upcoming tests. He balanced academics and coaching without letting one affect the other.
And when it came to working on weak areas, he explained:
"Kuch topics aise the jo easily nahi samajh aa rahe the, to main lab me jaake phir se practice karta tha"
Instead of ignoring difficult topics or feeling demotivated, he proactively spent extra time until the concept was clear.
This level of discipline shows that JEE preparation is not just about attending lectures; it’s about consistent, active effort every single day. His daily routine combined school, coaching, labs, homework, revision, and extra practice, a true reflection of dedication.
After appearing for his first JEE Main attempt, he gained clarity about his level.
"JEE Mains 1 mein mujhe itna to pata chal hi gaya tha ki Advance qualify ho jayega"
That clarity helped him shift focus properly towards Advanced-level preparation.
And finally, the result came:
"1755 first attempt 11th and 12th ke saath"
AIR 1755, in the first attempt, while managing school alongside preparation.
Balancing boards and JEE is challenging. But consistent daily effort, supported by structured guidance, made it possible.
After achieving success, Mayank’s approach remained grounded and realistic. His advice focuses on smart preparation, focus, and using the right resources.
"Ye jo bhi aap chapter karo, uske saath short notes zaroor banao taaki baad mein revision karne mein aasani ho"
Short notes save precious time during revision and help in quick recall.
On giving tests regularly:
"Test dena bahut zaroori hai kyunki usse aapko pata chalta hai ki kaunsa topic weak chal raha hai"
Mayank used tests not just to practice questions, but as a way to measure his preparedness. Each test gave him feedback that guided his next steps, preventing wasted effort on topics he had already mastered.
"Extra books ki itni zaroorat nahi hai, PW ka study material, DPP aur lecture notes bahut zyada sufficient hai"
Too many books create pressure. Focus creates results.
"PYQ important hai kyunki isse pata chalta hai ki asli question aap kitne kar pa rahe ho"
As per him, PYQs train you for the real exam pattern.
Mayank’s journey shows that clearing JEE in the first attempt is possible with the right guidance, focused effort, and smart strategies. Instead of chasing multiple books, which can create confusion and mental load, he trusted Physics Wallah’s complete material.
By sticking to one complete system, he gained clarity, maintained consistency, and avoided unnecessary pressure, which is often a hidden cause of low confidence. His story is a reminder that dedication, simplicity, and the right support system can turn even a challenging dream into reality.
