Build a Proper Schedule to Prepare for JEE Main Maths 2025

Make a proper schedule for JEE Main Maths preparation and stick to it. Must include all types of activities such as required study hours, breaks in between, revision hours, & rest schedules, and allow sufficient time for all of them. Continued study can create stress and brain exertion. So, candidates must take breaks for at least 15-20 minutes after every study hour.

Start Preparation Early To Prepare for JEE Main Maths 2025

Candidates are advised to start their preparation early so that they can complete the syllabus and get time for revision and practice. Interested candidates are recommended to start from the 11th or 12th standard to find the common and important topics and prepare accordingly.

The most important topics of thus section are Sets, Union, Intersection, Complement of Sets and their Algebraic Properties, Power Set, Relation, Types of Relations, Equivalence Relations, and Functions. Visualizing and solving problems can make this section easy.
  • Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations: JEE Main Maths paper has a total of 5-6% weightage for this section. The most important topics of this section are Representation, Algebra, Square Root of a Complex Number, Triangle Inequality, Quadratic Equations in Real and Complex Number Systems, Relation among Roots and Coefficients, Formation of Quadratic Equations with given roots.
  • Matrices and Determinants: This section has a total of 6-7% weightage in JEE Main Math syllabus. It includes important topics Matrices and its sorts, Determinants, Adjoin and Evaluation of Square Matrix. More and more practice can make this section look easy.
  • Permutations and Combinations: This section has a total of  3-4% of weightage in JEE Main exam. Solving previous years' questions in this section is the key to understand this topic.
  • Binomial Theorem and Its Simple Applications: This unit has a total of 3-4% weightage in JEE Main Mths syllabus. The most important topics of this section are the Binomial Theorem for a Positive Integral Index, the Properties of Binomial Coefficients, and their applications.
  • Sequences and Series: This unit has a weightage of 6-7% in JEE Main Maths syllabus. The most significant topics are Real-Valued Functions, Algebra of Functions, Polynomials, Rational, Trigonometric, Logarithmic and Exponential Functions, Inverse Functions, Graphs of Simple Functions, Limits, Continuity, Differentiation, Derivatives of requests up to two, Rolle's and Lagrange's Mean Value Theorems.
  • Integral Calculus: This section carries a total of 10-12% of the total weightage. Candidates must memorize all the formulas in this section. The most important topics of this section are Antiderivative, Fundamental Integrals, Integration, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, Properties of Definite Integrals, Evaluation of Definite Integrals.
  • Coordinate Geometry: This section has a total weightage of 10-12% of JEE Main Mathematics syllabus. The important topics of this section are Cartesian System, Straight Lines, Equations of Internal and External Bisectors of Angles between two lines, Coordinates of Centroid, Orthocenter, and Circumcenter of a Triangle, Circles, Conic Sections, Equations of Conic Sections.
  • 3-D Geometry: This section of JEE Main Maths carries 5-6% of the total weightage. The important topics of this section include  Point in Space, Section Formula, Direction Ratios and Direction Cosines, The Angle between two Intersecting Lines, Skew Lines and its Equation, Equations of a Line and a Plane in various structures and Coplanar Lines.
  • Vector Algebra: This section has a total weightage of 3-4% in JEE Main Maths syllabus. The important topics of this section include Vector and Scalars, Components of a Vector in 2D and 3D Space, Scalar and Vector Products.
  • Statistics and Probability: This unit has a total of 4-5% weightage in JEE Main Maths syllabus. Most important topics in this section are Measures of Dispersion, Calculation of Standard Deviation, Variance and Mean Deviation, Probability, Bayes Theorem, Bernoulli Trials and Binomial Distribution.
  • Trigonometry: This section has a total of 6-7% of weightage in JEE Main Maths syllabus. Most inportant topics of this section includes  Trigonometric Identities, Equations, Functions and questions dependent on Heights and Distances.
