IIT Placements 2025: The Indian Institutes of Technology, commonly known as IITs, are renowned institutions across the nation for offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, primarily in the fields of technology and engineering. IITs not only provide an exceptional academic experience but are also well-known for their impressive placement records.

Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for highly competitive entrance exams like JEE Advanced to secure a seat in the B.Tech. courses offered by IITs. For the upcoming academic year, IIT Placements 2025 are expected to begin in December (2025) and continue until May of the following year. In order to secure a seat within these institutions, one must clear different competitive entrance exams as per their choice of courses. IIT Placements 2025- Detailed Procedure

The IIT placement process is organized by the placement cell or authorized student representatives. They first reach out to companies, inviting them to take part in campus placements. After companies respond, they are given access to a website where they can submit their job announcement forms (JAF).
  • Once the job forms are submitted, students interested in those roles can register online. If required, companies may hold pre placement talks to provide students with more information about the job and the company.
  • Students submit their resumes, and the companies shortlist applicants based on their grades or other criteria. The Placement Cell then creates a schedule for the placement activities, including interviews and group discussions, after confirming it with the companies.
  • On the scheduled day, companies visit the campus, meet the registered or shortlisted students, and conduct their recruitment process.
  • After the interviews, companies submit a list of selected applicants to the placement cell and later provide the official job offer letters.
It is important to note that once a student accepts a job offer, they are no longer eligible to participate in interviews for other companies. This is the standard placement procedure, which is followed by every IIT. IIT Placements for 2024-2025 take place in two phases across all IITs. The first phase usually starts in December, and the second phase runs from February to May. IIT Kharagpur achieved the highest domestic package of INR 1 crore, with top recruiters like Apple, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Uber, and Schlumberger. IIT Madras Placements 2024-2025

The first phase of placements at IIT Madras is ongoing, and so far, 50% of the students have been placed with 256 companies visiting the campus. Around 1091 students have received job offers with an average salary of INR 22 LPA and a median salary of INR 19.6 LPA.
  • Some of the top recruiters include J.P. Morgan Chase, Texas Instruments, Adobe, Amazon, and EY India.
  • Last year, the highest salary was INR 1.31 crore per annum, and the lowest was INR 5.4 LPA.

IIT Kharagpur Placements 2024-2025

The highest salary offered at IIT Kharagpur is INR 2.6 crore per year, mainly in Computer Science and Engineering. On average, the top 50% of students earned INR 18.10 LPA, with the top 25% getting INR 21.25 LPA.
  • The median salary offered was INR 13.5 LPA. Some of the top companies that visited include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Flipkart.
  • Over 250 companies participated, and 90% of students in CSE, ECE, and Electrical Engineering got early placements.

IIT Delhi Placements 2024-2025

IIT Delhi placements reported an average salary package of INR 36.9 LPA, with the highest domestic package reaching INR 1 crore.
  • So far, 1050 job offers were made, including more than 50 international offers. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments.
  • IIT Delhi also provided 100% internships, with the highest stipend being INR 4.04 lakhs per month.

IIT Bombay Placements 2024-2025

IIT Bombay 's highest domestic salary package offered was INR 1.68 crore, and the highest international offer was INR 3.67 crore.
  • The average salary was INR 23.5 LPA, while the lowest package was INR 4 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Google, and McKinsey were among the top recruiters.
  • 364 companies visited the campus, offering 1475 jobs, though the placement rate dropped to 75% this year.

IIT Kanpur Placements 2024-2025

In the first phase, IIT Kanpur recorded 891 job offers, including pre-placement offers. The highest CTC offer was INR 5.5 crore for a quantitative trader role.
  • The average salary for BTech students was INR 26.27 LPA, with CSE students getting around INR 42.89 LPA.
  • Companies like Flipkart, Oracle, and NVIDIA were among the top recruiters.

IIT Guwahati Placements 2024-2025

IIT Guwahati had 891 job offers, including international ones. The highest international salary offered was INR 2.4 crore, while the highest domestic package was INR 1.1 crore.
  • Over 262 companies offered roles, with top recruiters like Google, Microsoft, and Bajaj.

IIT Roorkee Placements 2024-2025

IIT Roorkee 's placement records for 2024-2025 are yet to be disclosed, but the highest salary is expected to be between INR 15 LPA and INR 3 crore.
  • The average salary is usually around INR 20 to 25 LPA, with a median of about INR 15 to 20 LPA.
