JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Reopened: The National Testing Agency has issued an official notice regarding the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Reopened on the official portal. Candidates can access the portal from 12 March to 13 March 2026 (9:00 pm) to fill out the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 application form. NTA has clarified that candidates who have filled out the session 2 form earlier. They would not be allowed to make any edits to their application form after submission on the portal.

Who Can Apply for JEE Main Session 2?

  • Any candidate who did not submit the application form during the Session 1 or the original Session 2 registration periods can now register as a fresh applicant.

  • A candidate who started the process earlier but could not complete the final fee payment or document upload can now log in to finalise their submission.

  • Any candidate who appeared for Session 1 and now wishes to appear for Session 2 to improve their score can add the April session to their profile.

  • This 48-hour window is specifically for a candidate who missed the previous February 25th deadline due to technical issues or personal reasons.

Who Should Not Apply Again?

NTA JEE Main Update notice clarified that candidates who have already submitted their online forms cannot apply again using the JEE Main Application Reopen window. 

  • Candidates who have already submitted the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Form.

  • They have made the application fee payment.

  • No application correction is allowed for the already submitted documents. 

Step-by-Step Process to Apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 2

Candidates should follow the steps carefully to apply for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 using the NTA official website. 

Step 1 – Visit the Official Website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in

Candidates should visit the official JEE Main website to apply for the session 2 exam. 

Step 2 – Click on Registration Link

Click on the registration link active from 12 March to 13 March 2026 to complete the registration process. 

Step 3 – Fill Application Form

Fill out the application form correctly, including the choice of the paper, personal details, and educational qualifications. 

Step 4 – Upload Required Documents

Candidates need to upload the required documents in the online form, which includes the photograph and signature in the prescribed format by the NTA. 

Step 5 – Pay Application Fee

Pay the application fee and check the information provided in the online form carefully. 

Step 6 – Submit and Download Confirmation

Candidates can submit the online form and take a printout for future reference. 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Details

  • Conducting Body: The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • Exam Mode: The exam is held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates have to answer the questions on a computer at the exam centre.

  • Exam Dates: The Session 2 exam is expected to be conducted from 2 April – 9 April 2026. 

  • Exam Cities: The exam will be conducted in multiple cities across India.

  • International Centres: Joint Entrance Examination Main is also conducted in selected cities outside India to help international candidates appear for the exam.
