IIT Admission Process
The IIT admission process begins with candidates appearing for the JEE Main exam conducted by NTA. Those who qualify are eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced exam, which is the gateway to admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Based on their JEE Advanced scores and All India Ranks, students participate in the JoSAA counselling process, where they fill in choices of IITs and preferred branches. Seat allotment is done based on rank, category, and availability of seats. After accepting a seat, candidates must complete the document verification and pay the admission fee to confirm their seat at the allotted IIT.
