What Difficulties Students Are Facing During JEE Main 2025 Application Process?: The JEE Main 2025 registration process is ongoing until November 22, 2024. Till now, over 8 lakh aspirants have successfully filled out the forms, but many are still facing issues like category certificate concerns, Aadhaar mismatch problems, and other challenges.

What Difficulties Students Are Facing During JEE Main 2025 Application Process?
The JEE Main 2025 application process has seen its fair share of challenges, but the NTA, which is responsible for conducting the examination, has been quick to address students' concerns through timely notices and updates. Here’s how the NTA has resolved some of the most common issues faced by aspirants: Category Certificate Confusion: Many students belonging to OBC or EWS categories were unclear about whether they needed to upload their category certificates during registration or if they could proceed without them.- NTA’s Resolution: In a recent notification, the NTA clarified that applicants need not upload the category certificate at the time of registration. Instead, they must provide details like the certificate number, date of issue, and issuing authority. If the certificate is yet to be received, they can input the acknowledgment number along with other details.

If applicants face a name mismatch issue during the
JEE Main 2025 registration process
, particularly between their Aadhaar card and Class 10th certificate, they can follow these steps to resolve the issue and continue with their application:
- Close the pop-up window: If a name mismatch message appears during Aadhaar authentication, click the "X" button to close the pop-up message.
- Enter name as per Aadhaar: A new window will open, prompting applicants to input their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card. It is essential that the name matches their Aadhaar records to proceed without further issues.
- System captures both names: The system will record both the name from the applicant's educational certificate and the name entered from their Aadhaar card. This ensures that both records are taken into account for validation purposes.
- Proceed with the application: After entering the correct details, students can continue with the online application process. They will not be prevented from submitting their form due to the name mismatch, as long as both names are properly entered.
- NTA’s Notice: The NTA clarified that while students are free to choose their exam cities, the final decision lies with the NTA, as they may not always be able to accommodate all preferences. For foreign cities, applicants will have to pay an additional fee for the change.
- NTA’s Resolution: NTA encouraged applicants to check the payment status on the application portal. If the payment status shows as "successful," but the form is not submitted, students are advised to contact the NTA helpdesk for further assistance.
- NTA’s Resolution: The NTA announced a JEE Main 2025 application correction window starting from November 26 to November 27, 2024, allowing applicants to make changes to their forms before the final submission. This opportunity ensures that errors can be rectified without affecting the registration process.
