Bank of India has invited applications for the recruitment of officers in various streams up to Scale IV. The recruitment includes Law Officers in Scale II, with a total of 10 vacancies.

The online application process for the recruitment will commence on September 10, 2026, while the last date to submit the online application is September 25, 2026. The relevant date for determining age and qualification is August 1, 2026. The tentative date of the online examination will be advised separately by the Bank.

Bank of India Law Officer Eligibility 2026

The Bank has stated that candidates applying for the posts must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified for the respective post. The Bank of India Law Officer application form 2026 can be submitted only through the online mode. Candidates can apply from September 10 to September 25, 2026.

  2. Enter their name, contact details and email ID.

  3. Note the Provisional Registration Number and Password generated by the system.

  4. Use SAVE AND NEXT if they need to complete the form later.

  5. Verify all details before final submission.

  6. Upload the required photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.

  7. Preview the application form.

  8. Complete the registration.

  9. Pay the application fee online.

  10. Take a printout of the system-generated application form for future reference.

Bank of India Law Officer Application Fee 2026

The application fee/intimation charges are non-refundable. The fee structure mentioned in the notice is:

For SC/ST/PWD candidates, Rs. 175 is applicable as intimation charges only. For General/EWS/OBC candidates, Rs. 1,180 includes the application fee and intimation charges. Bank transaction charges for online payment have to be borne by the candidate.

The payment can be made through Master/Visa/RuPay credit cards, debit cards, internet banking, cash cards/mobile wallets, QR or UPI.

Bank of India Law Officer Selection Process 2026

The Bank of India Law Officer selection process 2026 will be conducted through an online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.

Step 1: Scrutiny of Eligibility

Candidates are required to upload documents supporting their relevant professional experience, mandatory certification, educational qualifications and other eligibility requirements. Applications will be shortlisted or rejected on the basis of the documents uploaded during registration.

Step 2: Online Examination

If conducted, the online examination will have the following structure:

Professional Knowledge relevant to the post 100 Composite time of 100 minutes

The English Language test will be qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be added while preparing the merit list. The tests other than English Language will be available bilingually in English and Hindi.

The minimum qualifying marks in the English Language and Professional Knowledge tests are 35% for General/EWS candidates. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates filling reserved vacancies are entitled to a 5% relaxation in the stipulated qualifying marks. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in each test.

There will be a penalty for wrong answers. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no penalty for questions left unanswered.

Step 3: Personal Interview

Candidates who meet the qualifying requirements and rank sufficiently high in the online examination merit list will be called for a personal interview. Mere qualification in the online examination does not guarantee a call for interview.

The interview will carry 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates where vacancies are notified in the reserved category.

If both the online examination and interview are conducted, the weightage of the online examination and interview will be 60:40. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the online examination and interview.

If the online examination is not conducted, the final selection will be based on the personal interview.

Bank of India Law Officer Recruitment 2026: Documents Required

Candidates called for the interview must produce the required documents in original along with self-attested photocopies. These include the interview call letter, system-generated online application form, proof of date of birth, photo identity proof, educational qualification documents and applicable category certificates.

Candidates may also be required to submit experience certificates and other documents supporting their eligibility.

Candidates serving in government, quasi-government offices or Public Sector Undertakings, including nationalised banks and financial institutions, are required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview.

Candidates should keep the following points in mind while applying:

  • Candidates can apply for only one post.

  • In case of multiple applications, only the latest valid completed application will be retained.

  • Fees/intimation charges paid for other multiple registrations will be forfeited.

  • Candidates must be ready to work anywhere in India.

  • Candidates who previously held a similar post in Bank of India are not eligible.

  • No changes will be permitted in the application details after submission.

The Bank of India Law Officer salary 2026 is governed by the pay scale applicable to Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II).

The basic pay scale mentioned in the notice is:

Rs. 64,820 – 2,340 (1) – Rs. 67,160 – 2,680 (10) – Rs. 93,960

The notice states that the basic pay is accompanied by other applicable allowances and perquisites.

Selected candidates for MMGS-II are also required to deposit a security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000. The deposit is refundable after three years of satisfactory service and will be forfeited if the officer leaves the Bank before completing three years of service.
