General Category and All Outside State Candidates: ₹400
Note: Additional portal charges and Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be added to the basic fee at the time of online payment. If a candidate makes a mistake and modifies the form during the paid correction window, a correction fee of ₹500 will apply.
Applicants must fulfill all the educational, age, and nationality conditions to be eligible for the examination. If any candidate fails to satisfy these conditions, the commission will cancel the candidature immediately.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a university or college recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Individuals who are still waiting for their final results are not eligible to apply.
Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years.
Maximum Age for Local Chhattisgarh Residents: 40 years.
Maximum Age for Other State Candidates: 30 years.
CGPSC ADPO Selection Process 2026 contains two main stages to test the knowledge and communication abilities of the applicants.
The written test contains a single paper with objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total time allowed is 3 hours. There are two distinct parts to this paper:
Part 1 (General Knowledge): 50 questions worth 100 marks. This part checks knowledge about Chhattisgarh history, geography, and current events.
Part 2 (Law): 100 questions worth 200 marks. This part checks knowledge about Major and Minor Acts, including the updated criminal laws like Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).
Candidates who score higher than the minimum cut-off marks in the written test will be called for the interview stage. The commission calls about three times the number of available vacancies for this oral round. The final merit list is prepared by adding the marks of both the written test and the interview.
CGPSC ADPO 2026 Salary comes under Pay Matrix Level-9.
Basic Pay Scale: ₹38,100 to ₹1,20,400 per month.
