AILET 2025 counselling for admission to NLU Delhi has commenced, with the third merit list for LLM released on 8th April and the BA LLB merit list expected in May 2025. Seat allotment is based on AILET rank and category-wise merit lists.

AILET 2025 Counselling Schedule: The National Law University, Delhi, has published the BA LLB counselling notification for Foreign Nationals on 14th May 2025. Foreign nationals are required to pay the registration fee of Rs 1 Lakh by 25th May 2025. The merit list containing names of the shortlisted candidates will be out on 28th May 2025. If any seat remains vacant, it will be rolled over to the general category and will be filled through AILET counselling. Foreign nationals can apply for admission at the university till 30th April 2025.
Earlier, the university published the third merit list for the LLM program on 8th April 2025. The merit list can be downloaded from the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The BA LLB third merit list is likely to be announced in May 2025.
The National Law University, Delhi, opened the AILET 2025 counselling window from 13th December 2024, 6.00 p.m., after the counselling invitee list is prepared. Candidates must complete their registration for AILET 2025 counselling by 22nd December 2024. The counselling will be conducted in 4 rounds, and after each round, a provisional list of selected candidates will be released. According to the AILET 2025 counselling schedule, candidates whose names appear on the merit lists will have to pay the admission fee, get their documents verified, and report to NLU Delhi.

The registration for AILET 2025 counselling is done in online mode only. What are the Steps Included in AILET 2025 Counselling?
AILET 2025 counselling will be conducted in 4 rounds. After each round, a provisional list of selected candidates will be released. Accordingly, candidates have to pay the confirmation fee to lock their seats. The AILET 2025 Counseling process will include the following steps.- Release of Invitee List : After the AILET 2025 results are declared, NLU Delhi will release the list of shortlisted candidates eligible for AILET 2025 counseling. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the exam.
- Counseling Registration : Shortlisted candidates must register for the counseling process by filling out the necessary forms and submitting documents as required. Candidates need to provide relevant documents for verification, such as identity proof, educational certificates, category certificates, etc., as per the eligibility criteria.
- Seat Allotment : Based on their rank in the merit list, candidates will be allotted seats for the BA LLB or LLM program. This will be done according to the available seats in each category and the candidate’s preferences.
- Fee Payment : After seat allotment, candidates will need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.
- Final Admission : Upon successful fee payment and document verification, candidates will be granted final admission to the respective programs at NLU Delhi.
How to Register for AILET 2025 Counselling?
Candidates who have been invited to the AILET 2025 counselling process must register before the deadline. To register for the AILET counselling process, the following steps are included.- Visit the official website of NLUD at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
- Log in to your AILET account using your registered credentials.
- Upload all the necessary documents in the prescribed format. Note that the documents must be self-attested and uploaded in PDF format.
- Pay the registration fee for counselling process through your Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI, or Net Banking.

Candidates must ensure that they upload the following documents during registration for AILET 2025 counselling.- Mark Sheets of Class 10th & 12th (For LLM: Marksheet of BA LLB or LLB)
- Character Certificate (Not more than 6 months Old)
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Migration Certificate/TC
AILET 2025 Counselling Fee

AILET 2025 Counselling Fee Refund
AILET counselling fee will be refunded to candidates who have successfully registered for the AILET 2025 counselling but could not secure a place in any provisional merit list due to higher cut-offs. AILET 2025 Merit List
The National Law University, Delhi will publish the AILET 2025 merit list on its official website after the commencement of the counselling process. The merit list will be provisional and the counselling process will be conducted in 4 rounds. It will include the ranks of candidates based on their performance in the exam, with separate lists for various categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS. The merit list is crucial for the counseling process, where candidates will be allotted seats for the BA LLB and LLM programs based on their rank. Admission will be granted to those who meet the required cutoff and category-specific eligibility criteria.
