What is AP PGLCET?

The AP PGLCET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test) is a state-level examination conducted by Sri Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Tirupati, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is held for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate law programs, such as LLM, in various law colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP PGLCET 2025 Overview

Candidates who clear the AP PGLCET 2025 exam will get admission to LLM courses at various participating colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are required to submit their application form through online mode and complete their registration process. The exam will be held at various centres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A total of 13 colleges will participate in the admission process through AP PGLCET 2025.

To be eligible for the AP PGLCET 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed or be appearing in the final year of a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a recognized university. 

Candidates awaiting their final results can also apply, provided they submit proof of qualification at the time of admission

• Minimum Marks: General and OBC category candidates must have secured at least 50% marks, while SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 45% marks in their qualifying examination.
• Age Limit: There is no upper or lower age limit for applicants.

AP PGLCET 2025 Exam Pattern

The AP PGLCET 2025 exam pattern consists of a computer-based test format, allowing candidates 90 minutes to answer a total of 120 objective-type questions. The examination will be conducted in English, with each question carrying one mark and no negative marking for incorrect answers. The question paper is divided into two parts: Part A includes subjects like Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law, while Part B covers various areas such as Public International Law and Mercantile Law, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of legal knowledge.
