
CLAT UG Third Allotment 2026 Postponed: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the postponement of the CLAT UG third allotment. The third merit list was scheduled to be released on February 5, 2026.
However, the postponement of the third allotment list happened on the verdict of the Allahabad High Court Order issued on February 3, 2026. The court has instructed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the CLAT UG score and release an updated merit list.
Candidates who have secured admission in the first and second rounds of CLAT counselling. They are eligible to proceed further and get admission.
The Honourable Allahabad High Court order was issued on February 3 on the CLAT 2026 Third Merit List (Postponed) scheduled to be released on February 5. A single-judge bench mandated that for Question No. 9 in CLAT UG Booklet C, both options B and D must be considered correct. The court instructed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the CLAT UG 2026 scores and release an updated merit list.
The court clarified that this revision will not affect candidates who have already secured seats in the first and second rounds of CLAT UG counselling.
The Consortium's Executive Committee has decided to file a Special Appeal before the Allahabad High Court's division bench to challenge this ruling. They plan to uphold the previously issued CLAT UG final answer key.
CLAT 2026 Third Merit List will be released soon on the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) official website. Candidates will be informed regarding the release of the third merit list by the authority.
