NLU Lucknow is also known as Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU). It was established in 2005 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. NLU Lucknow began functioning in January 2006. In recent news, the institute has released the admission and counselling schedule on 8 July 2025 for BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programs. The document verification must be completed between 22 to 25 July 2025. The orientation program will be conducted from 26 to 30 July 2025.

• Complete your CLAT registration process. Create your login ID by entering your basic details. 
• Log in to your account using your credentials. Fill out the application process with personal, academic, and contact details. 
• Select your preferred NLUs.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents such as your photograph, signature, and relevant certificates.
• Pay the application fee online using the available payment options.
• CLAT admit cards will be issued before the exam. Download it from the official website at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 
• Appear for the CLAT entrance exam. 
• After results are announced, register for CLAT counselling, fill in your NLU preferences, and participate in the seat allotment process.
• If allotted a seat, complete the admission process by verifying documents and paying the admission fee at the allotted NLU.

UG Eligibility Criteria for NLU Lucknow Admission

For BA LLB (Hons) admission, candidates must have a valid CLAT scorecard surpassing the cutoffs. The following eligibility criteria must be met before applying for NLU Lucknow admission. 

• Candidates must have passed class 12th from any recognized board. 

• They must have obtained 45% aggregate marks (or General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories) and 40% marks for SC/ST categories. 
• Freshers can also apply. They need to present their qualifying proof at the time of admission. 
• There is no age limit for BA LLB (Hons) admission at NLU Lucknow.
