RGNUL Patiala Admission is offered based on entrance test scores, followed by a centralized counselling process.

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Admission

Below are some criteria required to fulfill for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Admission: 

• Eligibility: You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST categories).

• Entrance Exam: Admission is based on the score obtained in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) UG.

• Seat Intake: The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program has a total seat intake of 240.

• Cutoff: Candidates must meet the prescribed CLAT cutoff rank for RGNUL. For example, the Round 1 CLAT 2025 cutoff for the General category was 1146.

LL.M. Admission

Below are some criteria you must fulfill for LL.M. Admission: 

• Eligibility: You must possess an L.L.B. degree with a minimum score of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

• Entrance Exam: Admission is based on the score obtained in the CLAT PG exam.

• Seat Intake: The LL.M. program has 60 seats.

Ph.D. in Law Admission

Admission to the PhD program is done through a university Entrance Test, followed by a Personal Interview. Candidates need to apply directly to the university and meet the required eligibility conditions.

For CLAT-qualified applicants, the final admission steps include attending the counselling session, choosing RGNUL as one of their preferences, and completing document verification and fee payment once a seat is allotted.
