TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2025 Sectional Weightage
The TS LAWCET exam includes three distinctive sections namely, General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law. The difficulty level of LAWCET 3-year LLB is of graduation level, while the difficulty level of TS LAWCET 5-year LLB is of intermediate level, even though the sections are same for both. The three sections are explained below with the weightage they have in the entrance exam.
Part A: General Knowledge and Mental Ability: This section assesses candidates based on their general awareness knowledge in different fields including History, Geography, Indian Polity, Economy, Science & Technology, and Awards & Honors. The mental ability part includes Syllogism, Number and Series, Puzzles, Algebra, Blood relation, and direction-based questions. As per syllabus, this section has 25% weightage in the paper.
Part B: Current Affairs: This includes General Awareness about History, Geography, Economics, Logical Reasoning, Environmental Science, and latest news from the national and international arena. It holds 25% weightage in the TS LAWCET 2025.
Part C: Aptitude for Study of Law: It focuses on evaluating candidates' understanding of fundamental legal concepts and their ability to apply legal reasoning. This section includes topics such as the Indian Constitution, Contract Law, Torts, and Criminal Law, along with principles of legal reasoning and awareness. The section has 50% weightage in the exam.
