To allocate a rank to all the candidates who score an equal score in the AP ICET exam, APSCHE uses an effective tie-breaking policy. Here are the main criteria of AP ICET tie-breaking policy:
Candidates with higher marks in Section-A get a higher rank.
If the candidates’ score in Section A is also the same, the scores in Section B are compared to allocate a rank.
If the scores remain identical even after the first two criteria, the elder candidate gets a higher rank.

General category candidates need to score at least 25%, which is 50 out of 200 marks, to qualify for the AP ICET exam.
There is no qualifying score requirement for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
