SNAP is organised by Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune and is the required entrance test for 15 Symbiosis colleges, including top MBA colleges like Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune, and other highly ranked Symbiosis colleges all over India. CAT, on the other hand, is conducted by IIMs and is the mandatory entrance test for admission to IIMs, FMS, MDI, IITs, and other prominent management institutes. CAT scores are accepted by more than 500 renowned MBA colleges, including 20 IIMs. Another difference is that SNAP is conducted on three different dates, whereas CAT takes place on a single day in three slots. To determine which one is better for you, consider your preferences. If you aim to pursue an MBA at Symbiosis institutes, then SNAP is the right choice.
