CAT 2025 aspirants should take note of an important update released by IIM Kozhikode regarding the admit card schedule. The institute has issued a media statement announcing a change in the earlier declared release date of the CAT 2025 admit card. This revision means candidates will need to wait a few more days to access their hall tickets. As per the new timeline, the admit card will now be available for download from 12 November 2025. Candidates are advised to stay connected with the official website and understand the reasons behind this delay, along with the revised process for downloading the hall ticket.
Earlier, the admit card was scheduled to be released on 4 November 2025 for 2.95 lakh eligible candidates, but it was later changed to 12 November 2025 by IIM Kozhikode. The admit card will be available exclusively on the official CAT website. Candidates can download their hall tickets using their login credentials from 12 November to 30 November 2025. However. no other mode of access has been provided.
The delay may be linked to enhanced security arrangements introduced by the IIMs for this year’s exam. Measures such as deploying mobile jammers at select centers and strengthening digital monitoring systems could have required additional preparation time. Internal system checks and interface updates may also have contributed to the revised admit card release date.
CAT 2025 will be conducted on 30 November 2025 (Sunday) in three sessions. The IIMs reserve the right to revise the test date or timing if required. A mock test with sample questions will be released on the CAT website from 12 November 2025 to help candidates understand the interface.

CAT has consistently been held on the last Sunday of November.
The delay in releasing the admit card may lead to speculation among candidates, but past year patterns suggest that the CAT exam date rarely changes. For several years, CAT has been conducted on the last Sunday of November, and the 2025 cycle is expected to follow the same pattern. While the revised timeline indicates internal adjustments, it does not necessarily point to a postponement of the exam. However, since the IIMs hold the authority to revise the schedule if required, candidates should stay alert for any official changes. At present, the exam is expected to be conducted on 30 November 2025 as planned.
Candidates should be ready to download the admit card on 12 November and verify all details carefully. They should read the exam-day instructions, attempt the official mock test once released, and keep required documents prepared. Staying updated through the official website and continuing focused revision will help avoid last-minute issues.
