Expected Test Structure

The exam typically splits into two main sections:

    • Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA & LR): ~26 questions

    • Decision Making (DM): ~21 questions

    • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QA & DI): ~28 questions

  2. Part 2 (General Knowledge & Essay):

    • General Knowledge (GK): ~20 to 25 questions (Does not count toward the primary cutoff percentile but is used during the interview stage).

    • Essay Writing: 1 descriptive prompt (evaluated primarily during the second-stage selection by specific colleges).

Marking Scheme:

  • +1.00 mark for every correct answer.

  • -0.25 mark for every incorrect answer in Part 1.

  • -0.10 mark penalty for consecutive unattempted questions if a candidate leaves more than 8 questions blank.

  • Decision Making: Presents business caselets, ethical dilemmas, administrative problems, and financial situational scenarios that require balanced judgments.

  • QA & DI: Core emphasis on arithmetic (percentages, profit & loss, averages), algebra, geometry, number systems, and interpretation of graphs, charts, and tables.
