XLRI selection criteria 2025

XLRI Selection Criteria 2025: The XLRI selection process starts after the announcement of the XAT results. As XAT result 2025 was announced by XLRI Jamshedpur on January 17, 2025, the selection process is expected to start soon.

XLRI does not conduct a centralised selection process, each participating institution follows its own unique selection criteria. Candidates who qualify for the final merit list based on their XAT scores, GD/PI performance, academic profile, and work experience are invited to participate in the counselling process. To take part in the selection procedure for MBA programs, aspirants need to register on the official websites of the respective colleges they wish to apply to.

XLRI 2025 Selection Process

After conducting XAT, XLRI will select deserving candidates for the GD/PI round based on their XAT scores. Candidates meeting the XAT 2025 cut-off criteria will qualify for the selection rounds conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur and other participating colleges. Further, the counselling round will be conducted to offer seats to selected candidates.

Admission to MBA programs at XLRI involves the following stages:

Stage 1: XAT Examination

Candidates who registered for XAT 2025 were required to attempt the XAT 2025 exam. The XAT exam took place on January 5, 2025, and the results were announced on January 17.

Stage 2: Shortlisting Candidates

After the XAT 2025 result announcement, XLRI Jamshedpur shortlists candidates based on their individual scores and XAT cut-off. Further, the shortlisted candidates are required to participate in group discussions and personal interviews.

Stage 3: Selection Rounds

XLRI will conduct GD and PI rounds to evaluate candidates’ communication, leadership skills and overall personality. Candidates may also have to attempt a writing assessment. These selection rounds carry significant weightage in the overall admission criteria.

Stage 4: Final Admission

After completing all selection rounds, XLRI Jamshedpur will release the final list of selected candidates. Those on the final list will be offered admission to MBA programs after document verification.
