NEET PG 2024 stray vacancy round started on February 12, 2025, with the last date for registration on February 16, 2025. Candidates had to declare their choices from February 13 to 16, 2025. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the seat allotment result on February 19, 2025, based on candidate preferences, rank, and other factors. The result will be available online in PDF format and will include details such as allotted course, college, category, and total number of allotted candidates. Those allotted seats in Round 3 must complete document verification. The final result of Round 3 counselling was announced on January 26, 2025.
MCC previously lowered the NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile to 15% for General/EWS and 10% for SC/ST candidates to increase eligibility for seat allotment. Initially, the cut-off was 50% for General and 45% for SC/ST. Candidates must register and choose colleges and courses at mcc.nic.in. MCC handles counselling for 50% of seats, while state agencies allocate the remaining 50%. A total of 25,791 seats will be filled through counselling.
The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on August 11, 2024, in two shifts in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. The difficulty level was moderate to difficult. The registration process began on April 16, 2024, and closed on May 6, 2024, with admit cards available from August 8, 2024. NEET PG 2024 Latest News
The NEET PG registration date has been announced by official authorities. As per the latest notice published by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the NEET PG 2024 exam date was revised to 23 June 2024. Now eligible applicants are invited to the registration process at the official website.
*New Update: The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a significant plea regarding the transparency of NEET PG results on October 4. Petitioners have raised issues about the normalization process and alleged discrepancies in the results, demanding greater clarity in the result declaration, including the release of answer keys and evaluation methods. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud expressed concerns over last-minute changes to the exam pattern, questioning how such modifications could be made just days before the exam. The NBE's counsel defended the changes, but the CJI emphasized their unusual nature. Following the NEET PG 2024 exam on August 11 and the results on August 23, nineteen students filed the petition citing transparency issues. Meanwhile, NEET PG 2024 counseling Round 1 registration commenced on September 20, with the schedule yet to be confirmed. Candidates are encouraged to monitor the official MCC website for updates.

NEET PG 2024 application form is released marking the beginning of the NEET PG 2024 exam cycle. NBEMS published an online NEET PG 2024 application form which must be filled out before the last date of registration i.e. 16 May 2024. Candidates should note that the information provided in the NEET PG 2024 application form will be verified with the uploaded documents. If any information is found to be incorrect in the NEET PG application form , then NBEMS will not issue admit cards to such candidates. To make some necessary corrections, there will be a correction window for a few days. After NEET PG 2024 application forms are submitted, NBEMS will start the verification and issue admit cards to eligible candidates.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has updated the exam pattern for NEET MDS, NEET SS, FMGE, DNB PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, FET, and NEET PG for the year 2024. According to the latest notice from NBE, these exams will now feature time-bound sections, requiring candidates to complete multiple-choice questions (MCQs) within specified time limits. Notably, once the allotted time for a section elapses, candidates will no longer be able to review or change their responses for that section. The subsequent section will automatically commence upon the completion of the time allocated for each section.
According to the official notification, the question papers for these examinations will be structured into several timed sections. For instance, in NEET-PG 2024, the question paper will contain five designated sections (A, B, C, D, & E). Each section will consist of 40 questions, and candidates will have 42 minutes allocated to complete each section. It is emphasized that candidates must finish the designated time for a section before moving on to the next one.

NEET PG 2024 Marking Scheme
NEET PG marking scheme will be decided by the NBE which will conduct the exam in online CBT mode. Candidates will need to solve a total of 200 objective questions of multiple choice answer type. The total time allotted to solve the questions will be 3.5 hours to complete the question paper. Candidates can select only 1 correct answer from 4 multiple answers to the question. For each correct answer candidates will be rewarded 4 marks for each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. However, there will be no deduction of marks for not attempting a question.
NEET PG Admit Card 2024
NBE will release the NEET PG admit card on its official website on 8 Aug 2024. Applicants must log in to the website using their registration ID and password to access and download their admit card. However, the candidates who are found ineligible will not receive the admit card for the exam.
Candidates must also note that the NBE will not send admit cards to individual candidates through email or posts. Instead, candidates will be notified of their availability through email or SMS.
NEET PG Result 2024
NEET PG Result 2024 has been announced on the official website at nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in. for candidates who take the exam. Additionally, candidates can obtain their NEET PG scorecard by using their login ID and password. It is important to note that the result will be valid for the current academic session only.
In addition, the scorecard will contain crucial information such as the candidate's name, category, roll number, marks secured by the candidate, and the total number of right and wrong answers. To qualify for the NEET PG 2024, candidates must achieve the minimum cutoff marks.

NEET PG Exam to Be Replaced by NExT
Last year NEET PG was held on 5 March 2023. As per the latest NEET PG 2024 news, the exam is expected to take place on 23 June 2024. The NMC and Indian government aim to introduce NExT exam in 2024 to establish a standardized evaluation and PG entrance exam for medical students.
In addition, the official notification for the NExT exam stated that the exam will be administered in two steps, where Step-1 will assess the theoretical knowledge of candidates and Step-2 will be a practical exam. However, the commission has not yet confirmed the date for conducting NExT 2025 . Therefore, medical graduates most likely have to apply for the NEET PG exam next year.
