To ensure smooth verification, secure biometric registration, and timely execution of the computer-based test, NBEMS establishes a detailed timeline for exam-day operations.

NEET PG 2026 Shift Timings & Official Schedule

The NEET PG 2026 examination is organized in a single shift across all designated test cities nationwide. Candidates must note that while the test begins at 09:00 AM, reporting and security frisking begin much earlier in the morning.

Note: The total exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes (210 minutes). Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall after 08:30 AM under any circumstances.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Day Timeline

Understanding the exact sequence of events on exam morning ensures that candidates navigate security verification efficiently without unnecessary stress.

• 07:00 AM (Entry & Registration Start): Exam centers open their gates. Security staff start identity checks, physical frisking, and biometric data capturing.

• 08:30 AM (Gate Closure): Security guards close the center entrance gates strictly. Late entry is prohibited.

• 08:45 AM (System Login): Invigilators permit candidates to access their assigned computer terminals using login credentials.

• 08:50 AM (Reading Instructions): Candidates get 10 minutes to review the test screen guidelines, navigation instructions, and section marking rules.

• 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Exam Hours): The exam question window opens at 09:00 AM and auto-submits when the timer hits 12:30 PM.

Mandatory Documents to Carry at Exam Center

Candidates must carry specific physical documents to gain entry to the exam hall:

• Printed NEET PG 2026 Admit Card: A clear printout with a recent passport-sized photograph affixed in the designated space.

• Original Government-Issued Photo ID: PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, or Aadhaar Card (with photograph).

• Medical Registration Certificate: Original or photocopy of the permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).

NEET PG 2026 Dress Code Guidelines

To prevent malpractices and speed up physical frisking, NBEMS mandates specific attire requirements for male and female candidates:

For Female Candidates:

• Wear light-colored, half-sleeved tops, T-shirts, or simple kurtas.

• Pair tops with simple trousers or salwars. Avoid jeans, leggings, or clothes with heavy embroidery, patches, or large buttons.

• Wear flat slippers or low-heeled sandals. High heels, boots, and thick-soled shoes are strictly forbidden.

• Remove all jewelry items including rings, earrings, nose pins, chains, bangles, and pendants.

For Male Candidates:

• Wear light-colored, half-sleeved shirts or T-shirts. Full-sleeved shirts are not permitted.

• Wear simple trousers without multiple zipped pockets, large metal buttons, or heavy decorations.

• Only open sandals or slippers are allowed. Closed footwear such as shoes or boots is not allowed.
