NExT Exam Dates 2025 : The National Medical Commission (NMC) will soon announce the dates for the NExT 2025 exam, expected to take place in August 2025 for the final year MBBS students. NExT Step 1 scheduled for February 2028 for the 2024 batch. Recently, the NMC published the National Exit Test Regulations, 2023, detailing eligibility criteria, syllabus, and exam patterns. The NExT exam schedule will help candidates plan accordingly. The NExT Exam will replace NEET PG and FMGE for medical students. Although a mock exam was initially set for July 28, it has since been canceled, and registration fees will be refunded to those who signed up.

What is the National Exit Test (NExT)?

The National Exit Test (NExT) is a proposed examination for all MBBS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS students in India, necessary to pass their final year and obtain a medical license. NExT results will determine admission to postgraduate courses. Introduced by the National Medical Commission Bill 2019, it also acts as a screening test for foreign medical graduates, replacing the FMGE. Additionally, the draft National Dental Commission Bill proposes a similar exit test for BDS graduates.

Tentative Schedule for NExT Step 1
