NEET UG 2025 Counselling Round 2: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET UG 2025 Counselling Round 2, beginning on August 21, 2025. Students who either failed to secure a seat in the previous round or want to enroll in a superior college can participate in this counselling round. Registration will remain open until August 26, 2025, with the choice filling process scheduled from August 22 to 26, 2025. Candidates must lock their choices on August 26, 2025, between 4 PM and 11:55 PM. The seat allotment result will be released on August 29, 2025, followed by institute reporting and document verification. Students can apply online through the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

Not every student can directly apply for NEET UG 2025 Round 2 counselling. Certain rules are made to ensure only genuine candidates move forward. Let us understand who is eligible and who is not.
NEET 2025 Passed: Candidates should have passed NEET 2025 as per the cut-off for their category. If not, they are not eligible to apply for Round 2 counselling.
Age and Class 12 Pass: Candidates should have passed the minimum age of 17 years on 31st December 2025. Additionally, they should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% (General), 40% (SC/ST/OBC), or 45% (PwD).
Round 1 Registration: Candidates who registered for Round 1 but were not allotted a seat can participate directly in Round 2. Candidates who did not register for Round 1 will need to register afresh for Round 2 counselling.
Seat Reported: Students who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 but failed to report to the college can participate in Round 2 counselling.
Citizenship: Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, Foreign Nationals, and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are all eligible to apply for Round 2 Counselling.
NEET UG 2025 Counselling Round 2 Registration and choice filling are done online. Students should follow the following step-wise process to complete the online registration process:-
Step 1: Visit MCC Website: mcc.nic.in
Step 2: Click on New Registration: Enter your personal details, name, roll number, application number, and contact details.
Step 3: Pay the Registration Fees: Pay the counselling fees and refundable security deposit.
Step 4: Save Registration Slip: Download and print the registration slip for future reference.
Step 5: Login Again: Log in to your user ID and password.
Step 6: Choice Filling: Fill the choices of Medical and Dental colleges according to your preferences.
Step 7: Lock your choices: Finalize your choices by locking on 26th August from 4:00 pm to 11:55 pm.
Step 8: Seat Allotment: Seat allotment will be done by MCC on 27th and 28th August.
Step 9: Download Allotment Letter: Download the seat allotment letter on 29th August, if allotted.
Step 10: Reporting: Report at the allotted institute from 30th August to 5th September with necessary documents.
Step 11: Verification: Verify all documents between 6th and 8th September and confirm admission.
