NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Latest Update: With the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for Sunday, June 21, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has laid down a strict list of items prohibited inside the examination centre. Following the paper leak that forced the cancellation of the May 3 exam, security at the Re-NEET 2026 will be tighter than ever — candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking with highly sensitive metal detectors before entering the examination hall.
Meanwhile, over 22 lakh aspirants are awaiting the NEET UG re-exam admit card, which the NTA will release by June 14, 2026, at the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed that every registered candidate will receive their hall ticket by this date. The advance city intimation slip is already live on the portal.
The NTA has made it clear that the following items are not allowed inside the examination centre under any circumstances:
Stationery and textual material: Printed or written material, bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, log table, electronic pen/scanner
Communication devices: Mobile phone, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphone, pager, health band
Personal accessories: Wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap
Watches and electronics: Any watch/wristwatch, bracelet, camera
Ornaments and metallic items of any kind
Food and water: Any food items (opened or packed), water bottle
Concealment items: Any object that could hide communication devices such as a microchip, camera, or Bluetooth device
Candidates must note that no arrangement will be made at the centres for keeping any articles or items belonging to them. Aspirants are strongly advised to leave all valuables at home.
Entry closes at 1:30 PM — no candidate will be permitted inside the examination centre after this time. Leave home well in advance, factoring in traffic, the centre's location, and weather conditions.
Follow all instructions and maintain discipline in the examination hall.
Do not breach any examination rule or use/promote unfair means.
If you notice another candidate using unfair means, report it immediately to the invigilators on duty.
Candidates will be allowed to bring only the following items:
Admit card with a passport-size photograph affixed on it
One passport-size photograph to be affixed on the Attendance Sheet
Valid original identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
PwBD certificate, if applicable
One postcard-size (4"×6") colour photograph with white background, pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the admit card

"Any request to change the Question Paper Medium, Examination Centre, Date, and Time provided on the Admit Card shall not be considered under any circumstances," the NTA said in its official information bulletin.
In case of any discrepancy in the candidate's particulars, photograph, or signature on the Admit Card and Confirmation Page, candidates should immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Such candidates will appear for the examination with the already downloaded admit card, and the NTA will make the necessary corrections in its records later.
The NTA originally conducted NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST) in pen-and-paper mode. However, the exam was cancelled owing to irregularities after "NEET UG paper leak" started trending on social media. Several aspirants held protests, with some demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The re-examination has now been confirmed for June 21, 2026 (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM), and no fresh registration is required.
