Stop whatever you're doing. The AIIMS NORCET 11 Admit Card 2026 dropped today — 9 September — at aiimsexams.ac.in, and the Stage I Preliminary exam is on 12 September. You have 72 hours. Every candidate registered for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 11 needs to download, print, and act on this document right now. Here is everything you need to do — login to hall, city slip to centre address, and a final revision plan — so nothing catches you off guard on exam morning.
The AIIMS exam portal at aiimsexams.ac.in is the only place to get your hall ticket. AIIMS does not send hard copies by post, and no third-party site has a legitimate download link. Here is the exact process:
Open your browser and go to aiimsexams.ac.in.
On the homepage, click on the Recruitments section.
Select Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET 11).
Click on the Admit Card or Hall Ticket link.
Enter your Candidate ID and Password, then type the Captcha code correctly.
Click Login to access your dashboard.
Click on Download Admit Card and save the PDF immediately.
Print at least two copies — keep one with you on exam day and one as backup.
If you run into login issues — forgotten password, wrong Candidate ID — use the password reset option on the portal immediately. Do not leave this for exam morning.
This is the confusion that trips up thousands of candidates every NORCET cycle. The city intimation slip released on 3 September told you only the name of the city your exam is in. That's all. Your admit card released today contains:
Your full name and photograph
Candidate ID and Roll Number
Exact exam centre name and full address
Reporting time and gate closing time
Shift details (morning or afternoon)
Exam date confirmation (12 September 2026)
Important exam-day instructions from AIIMS
List of documents to carry
Read every line on this document. The reporting time on your admit card is the time you must be present at the gate — not the time the exam starts. AIIMS examination centres typically close the gate 30 minutes before the exam begins. Arriving after gate closure means you are not allowed in, regardless of circumstances.
Carry these without fail:
Printed admit card (hard copy — not just on your phone)
One original, valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or PAN card)
One passport-size photograph matching the one on your admit card
Any specific documents mentioned in the instructions on your admit card
Leave these at home or in your vehicle outside the centre:
Mobile phone, smartwatch, or any wearable electronic device
Bluetooth earbuds or headphones
Calculator
Any printed notes, books, or study material
Wallet with excess cards or papers
AIIMS runs thorough frisking at NORCET examination centres. Prohibited items found at the gate or inside the hall can result in disqualification.
Stage I (Preliminary) — the exam on 12 September — is a qualifying round only. This is critical to understand: your marks in Stage I do not count toward your final merit. They only determine whether you proceed to Stage II on 30 September. Here is the pattern:
Total questions: 100 MCQs
Total marks: 100
Duration: Standard CBT window
Mode: Computer-Based Test
Negative marking: Applies — so do not guess blindly
The paper draws primarily from core nursing subjects — anatomy, physiology, medical-surgical nursing, paediatric nursing, obstetric nursing, psychiatric nursing, community health nursing — along with general aptitude topics including reasoning and English.
Since Stage I is only a gateway, the aim on 12 September is to cross the cutoff comfortably, not to chase a perfect score. Accuracy over speed, and avoid spending too long on any single question.
If Stage I is the qualifier, Stage II is the decider. The Mains exam scheduled for 30 September 2026 is where your NORCET 11 merit rank will be built. Final selection for all 2,218 Nursing Officer posts across the 27 participating institutions is based entirely on Stage II marks. Document verification and medical examination follow the Stage II merit list.
This means your 72-hour window before 12 September should be split: prioritise clearing Stage I cleanly on Saturday, then pivot immediately to deep Mains preparation for the 18-day gap before 30 September.
For candidates less familiar with the structure: the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test is a single national-level exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi that fills Nursing Officer posts across 27 institutions through one merit list. This edition — NORCET 11, Notice No. 103/2026 — covers vacancies at AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Rishikesh, Raipur, Jodhpur, Mangalagiri, Nagpur, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Kalyani, Raebareli, Bilaspur, Deoghar, Avantipora, Bathinda, Vijaypur Jammu, Rewari, CAPFIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, ESIC New Delhi, NITRD, CIP Ranchi, SIJ Hospital and others.
The 2,218 vacancies are tentative and distributed across reserved and unreserved categories including PwBD. Selected candidates are placed at Pay Level 7 in the Pay Matrix, with a salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹70,000 per month, plus standard central government allowances — making this one of the most sought-after nursing posts in the country.
Today — 9 September: Download and print your admit card. Confirm your centre address and map the route. Book any accommodation or travel you need to arrive the night before if the city is far. Do a light revision session focusing on high-yield nursing topics — no new chapters.
Tomorrow — 10 September: Visit the exam centre in person if possible to know the exact gate location, parking access, and ID checkpoint. Lay out your documents — admit card, photo ID, photographs — so you are not scrambling on exam morning. Complete a full mock test to keep exam stamina sharp.
11 September (Day Before): No new topics. Revise formulas, drug dosages, and commonly tested nursing protocols. Sleep at a fixed time — aim for at least seven hours. Keep your alarm set well before your reporting time. Pack your bag the night before.
12 September (Exam Day): Wake up with time to spare. Eat a light meal before leaving. Carry water and a small snack for before the gate opens. Arrive at the centre at least one hour before your reporting time. Hand over your phone and prohibited items before entering the hall. Read every question carefully and flag difficult ones rather than sitting on them.
