The National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) has officially released the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2027 notification, opening the admission cycle for its flagship Five-Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. programmes for the 2027–28 academic session.
According to the notification dated July 23, 2026, AILET 2027 will be held on December 13, 2026 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at test centres across India. NLU Delhi has confirmed that the detailed admission notice and online application forms will go live on the official website from August 7, 2026. Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official portal, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in, for updates on registration, fee payment, and further instructions.
AILET remains the sole gateway into NLU Delhi — unlike CLAT, its scores are not accepted by any other National Law University, making the exam one of the most competitive law entrance tests in the country.

Candidates are strongly advised to complete their AILET 2027 application well before the deadline, as NLU Delhi typically does not extend registration windows significantly.
NLU Delhi consistently ranks among India's top law schools, and AILET is the single entry point for undergraduate and postgraduate law admissions there. With limited seats and no alternate route for admission, the competition level each year remains extremely high, making early preparation and timely application critical.
