Lakhs of diploma holders and B.Sc graduates waiting for their AP ECET 2026 Phase 1 seat allotment result have a fresh date to mark on their calendars. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), in coordination with the Department of Technical Education, has pushed back the release once again. The Phase 1 seat allotment result, earlier expected on July 24, will now be declared on July 27 after 6 PM.
This is the second shift in the schedule for this counselling cycle — the result was earlier expected around July 20 before first moving to July 24, and has now slipped further to July 27. For candidates seeking lateral entry into second-year B.Tech and B.Pharmacy programmes, this means a few more days of waiting before they know which engineering college and branch they've been allotted.
Large-scale counselling exercises of this size routinely require last-minute recalibration — matching tens of thousands of candidate preferences against seat availability, category-wise reservation rules, and verified documents takes time, and authorities often build in a buffer before the final list goes live. While APSCHE has not issued a detailed public explanation for the delay, the revised notification confirms the new release window clearly: July 27, after 6 PM, on the official portal.

Click on the AP ECET Phase 1 Seat Allotment Result link once it goes live after 6 PM on July 27.
Log in using your hall ticket number and date of birth (or the password set during registration).
Your allotted college, branch, and category status will appear on screen.
Download and save the allotment order as a PDF.
Take at least two printouts — one for self-reporting and one for physical reporting at the allotted college.
Once the allotment is out, every candidate must choose one of three options on the portal before the deadline:
Freeze: Lock in the current seat with no further changes in this phase.
Float: Keep the current seat but stay eligible for an upgrade to a higher preference in later rounds.
Slide: Retain a seat within the same institute while remaining open to a better branch at that same college.
After selecting an option, candidates need to pay the requisite admission/tuition fee online, complete self-reporting on the portal, and then report physically to the allotted college with original documents within the CAP-notified deadline. Missing the reporting window can lead to automatic cancellation of the allotted seat, so candidates are strongly advised not to wait until the last day.

Passport-size photographs

Carry originals plus at least two sets of self-attested photocopies, since some colleges may ask for additional institution-specific paperwork.
Candidates who remain unallotted, or who choose to slide/float but don't get upgraded, remain in the pool for Phase 2 counselling, which fills seats left vacant after Phase 1 admissions close. Those who skipped registration in Phase 1 altogether are generally not eligible to join in Phase 2, so it's important to complete every step of this round even if the current allotment isn't your first preference.
