AP NEET Rank List 2026: Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has published the Andhra Pradesh NEET Rank List 2026 for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes in the state. A total of 33,220 candidates have made it to the state merit list, and each of them is now eligible to take part in AP NEET UG Counselling 2026.
The merit list has been uploaded as a downloadable PDF on the official portal, drntr.uhsap.in. Candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2026 and applied for Andhra Pradesh state quota seats can search for their roll number in the PDF to confirm their state rank.
Unlike the all-India rank, the AP state rank decides where a candidate stands within Andhra Pradesh — and that is the number that ultimately governs seat allotment in the state counselling rounds.

Publication of the state merit list is the first checkpoint in the Andhra Pradesh medical admission cycle. Here is what follows:
Step 1 — Counselling Notification: NTRUHS will issue a separate notification announcing the AP NEET UG Counselling 2026 schedule, including registration dates and processing fee details.
Step 2 — Registration and Fee Payment: Only candidates named in the rank list can register on the counselling portal.
Step 3 — Certificate Verification: Candidates must upload or produce documents including the NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, transfer certificate, study certificates for the qualifying period, caste certificate (if applicable), local/non-local status certificate, and Aadhaar.
Step 4 — Web Options and Choice Locking: Candidates fill in and lock their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges in order of priority. This stage decides the outcome more than any other — an unrealistic preference order is the single most common reason strong ranks end up with weak allotments.
Step 5 — Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted on the basis of the candidate's NEET UG 2026 score, Andhra Pradesh state rank, category and reservation rules, local area status, seat availability, and the locked preference order.
Step 6 — Reporting: Allotted candidates must report to the assigned college within the stipulated window to confirm admission, failing which the seat is forfeited and passed on in the next round.
Andhra Pradesh is expected to fill roughly 7,465 MBBS seats through this counselling cycle, alongside BDS seats offered by participating dental colleges across the state. These seats are spread across government medical colleges, private unaided colleges, and minority institutions, with the convenor quota and management quota governed by separate seat matrices.
With 33,220 candidates in the merit list competing for approximately 7,465 MBBS seats, the ratio works out to roughly 4.5 candidates per MBBS seat — which is precisely why realistic choice filling, rather than optimistic choice filling, is the deciding factor in this cycle.
Candidates who do not secure an MBBS seat in the earlier rounds should keep BDS, and later mop-up and stray vacancy rounds, actively on the table.

For the 85% state quota seats in Andhra Pradesh, the all-India NEET rank is only the raw input. What NTRUHS actually uses is the state merit rank derived from it — filtered by eligibility, local status, and category. Two candidates with similar all-India ranks can end up with very different state ranks depending on category and local area classification.
This is also why the state-wise NEET rank list is released separately by each state authority, and why candidates who applied in more than one state must track each list independently.
