The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has extended the deadline for Class 11 spot admission for the 2026-28 academic session, giving students a fresh window to secure a seat in intermediate (+2) institutions across the state. The revised last date to apply is July 9, 2026, pushed forward from the earlier schedule that ran from June 25 to July 1 under the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS).
Students can apply through the official BSEB portal, exam.biharboardonline.org, by approaching the principal of their preferred intermediate institution directly, based on vacant seat availability in the desired stream and subject combination.
According to the official notification, the spot admission window is not limited to Bihar Board students alone. Candidates who cleared their Class 10 examination from CBSE, CISCE, or any other recognized board are also eligible to apply for spot admission, subject to seat availability at their chosen institution.
Students who were allotted seats in earlier OFSS merit lists and used the slide-up facility but could not secure admission in the upgraded institution must apply afresh through the spot admission process. BSEB has clarified that:
Their previous admission application now stands cancelled.
Failure to submit a new application during this spot admission phase will make them ineligible to appear in the Intermediate Annual Examination 2028.
BSEB has laid out clear compliance guidelines for colleges and schools conducting spot admissions:
Vacant seat details must be displayed at a minimum of three prominent locations on campus for transparency.
Admissions must be granted strictly as per seat availability in each stream and subject.
Institutions must regularly update admitted student data on the OFSS portal.
The final admission list must be completed by July 10, 2026.
Institutions that faced technical difficulties in updating admission records earlier have now been permitted to complete pending updates during this extended spot admission period.
Visit the official portal: exam.biharboardonline.org
Identify intermediate institutions with vacant seats in your preferred stream (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Visit the institution in person and contact the principal for spot admission.
Submit required documents, including Class 10 marksheet/certificate (CBSE/CISCE/BSEB or other recognized board).
Confirm your admission is updated on the OFSS portal by the institution.
Ensure the process is completed before July 9, 2026.
