The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to open the CBSE 10th revaluation 2026 window shortly for students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded in their Class 10 board examination. The board will announce the exact schedule for the post-result services on its official website, cbse.gov.in, and the application window will remain live only for a limited number of days.
Candidates who appeared in either the main board examination or the second board examination will be eligible to apply for the CBSE Class 10th revaluation 2026 exercise, subject to the eligibility conditions specified in the official notification. Once the window closes, no request for verification of marks, photocopy of the answer book or re-evaluation is entertained under any circumstances, which makes it critical for students to track the announcement closely.
CBSE will shortly notify the prescribed dates for the Class 10 post-result services on cbse.gov.in.
The post-result process runs in a fixed sequence: photocopy of evaluated answer book first, followed by verification of marks and re-evaluation.
Aadhaar number entry has been made a requirement while submitting the online re-evaluation application.
Students of both the main examination and the second board examination fall within the scope of the process.
The detailed schedule, fee structure and application guidelines will be released by the board along with the activation of the portal.
Applications submitted after the deadline, or without the prescribed fee, will not be processed.
CBSE's post-result service is a three-part mechanism designed to give students a transparent route to re-examine how their answer scripts were assessed. It is not a re-examination and it does not involve a fresh evaluation of the entire answer book. Instead, it works in defined stages:
Photocopy of the evaluated answer book — the student receives a scanned copy of the answer sheet as it was marked by the examiner.
Verification of marks — the board checks whether every question has been evaluated, whether any part has been left unmarked, and whether the totalling and transfer of marks to the award list has been done correctly.
Re-evaluation of answers — the student selects specific question numbers where a discrepancy is suspected, and only those questions are re-assessed against the official marking scheme.
Under the board's current post-result policy, a candidate must first obtain the photocopy of the evaluated answer sheet before moving on to verification of marks or re-evaluation. This sequence exists so that the student takes an informed decision based on the actual script rather than on assumption.
The board has not yet released the activation date for the Class 10 application window. CBSE typically opens the post-result window within a short span after the declaration of results, and each stage carries its own separate start and end date. Students are advised to monitor cbse.gov.in and the official result portals rather than depending on unverified circulars on social media.

Students can follow the steps given below to complete the CBSE Class 10 revaluation application:
Step 1: Visit the official CBSE portal for post-result services at cbse.gov.in and open the link for verification of marks and related services.
Step 2: Log in using the roll number, school number, admit card ID and other credentials as prompted, and enter the Aadhaar number where required.
Step 3: Place the request for the scanned photocopy of the evaluated answer book for the subject or subjects concerned.
Step 4: Download the answer sheet once it is made available and check it carefully against the official CBSE marking scheme for that subject.
Step 5: Identify and select the specific question numbers for which re-evaluation is being sought. Only the selected questions will be re-assessed.
Step 6: Pay the prescribed fee through the online payment gateway and submit the application.
Step 7: Download and retain the confirmation page or fee receipt for future reference.
Keep the following ready before starting the application to avoid a session timeout:
Roll number as printed on the admit card
School number
Admit card ID
Centre number
Aadhaar number
Copy of the Class 10 marksheet or result printout
A working debit card, credit card, net banking facility or UPI ID for fee payment
Active mobile number and email ID
The board levies a separate fee for each of the three services, charged on a per-subject basis for the photocopy and verification stages, and on a per-question basis for re-evaluation. The exact fee applicable for the 2026 cycle will be published in the official notification, and students should treat only that circular as final. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable irrespective of whether the marks change.
If the re-evaluation results in a change of marks, CBSE issues a revised marksheet and the earlier one stands cancelled. The revised award is final and no further request for reconsideration is accepted. If no discrepancy is found, the original marks remain unchanged. It is equally important to note that marks can move in either direction — a corrected total may go up, stay the same, or in some cases be revised downward if an error worked in the candidate's favour originally.
Points Students Should Keep in Mind
Applications are accepted strictly online; no offline or postal request is entertained.
Each stage has an independent deadline, and missing one stage closes access to the next.
The photocopy is provided for the candidate's own reference and must not be circulated publicly.
Comparing the answer script against the official marking scheme is the single most useful step before selecting questions for re-evaluation.
Students taking admission in Class 11 should keep their school informed if a revised result is expected, so that the record can be updated.
All notifications relating to the CBSE Class 10th revaluation 2026 will be hosted on cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Students and parents should verify every date, fee and instruction from the board's own circular before acting on it.
