CBSE Re-Evaluation Fee Refund: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier notified that the re-evaluation results for all Class 12 students are "expected to be completed soon." However, students who had an increase in marks after applying for re-evaluation or verification have raised concerns over the board's timeline for the fee refund. The results are being issued in phases, and while several students have already received their updated marksheets, many are still awaiting their results.
The board has not issued a specific date for the re-evaluation fee refund. However, students can expect the refund to be processed as soon as results for all students have been declared. As per CBSE's confirmed process, if a student's marks are revised upward after the re-evaluation or verification process, the re-evaluation fee is refunded, and an updated digital marksheet is generated. If marks remain unchanged or decrease, no refund is issued.
The board's full refund policy is considered a historic first in CBSE's history — earlier, students had to bear all post-result service expenses regardless of the outcome. CBSE had confirmed via a detailed notification dated June 21 that the refund for the re-evaluation fee will be processed after the declaration of results. The excess or duplicate amount paid will be refunded directly to the source account.
CBSE declared the Class 12 re-evaluation results on June 21, 2026, and has successfully processed and uploaded scores for over 87% of all applicants. The remaining student outcomes are being released in phased batches.
The board posted on X.com: "The outcomes are being released in a phased manner, with over 87% of the total applications received being declared today. The outcomes of the remaining applications will be made available in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon. You may see the status of your application at results.digilocker.gov.in."
Once released, students can check and download their scorecards on the following official websites:

In response to widespread student concerns over the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, CBSE slashed re-evaluation and verification fees by up to 85%. The revised fee is ₹25 per question for re-evaluation and ₹100 per subject for answer sheet photocopy and verification.
The refund rule applies specifically to the revised post-result grievance system introduced after concerns regarding the OSM process. If a student's marks are revised upward — even by a single mark — the board will issue a full refund of the entire fee paid for those services.
