While the board has not released a specific "result time," official trends and evaluation progress suggest the link will be active by late April 2026.

  • Theory Papers (80 Marks): Minimum 26 marks required.

  • Theory Papers (70 Marks): Minimum 23 marks required.

  • Practical/Internal (20/30 Marks): Minimum 33% in the respective component.

Important Note: If a student passes in theory but fails in practical (or vice-versa), they will be placed in the Repeat Practical (RP) or Repeat Theory (RT) category.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2026 (Supplementary)

For students who do not clear all subjects in the first attempt, CBSE offers a "Second Chance" through the Supplementary/Compartment Exams.

  1. Eligibility: Students who fail in exactly one subject are eligible for the Class 12 Compartment exam.

  2. Timing: Usually conducted in July 2026.

  3. Syllabus: The syllabus remains identical to the main 2026 Board Exam.

  4. Essential Repeat: Students failing in two or more subjects must repeat the entire year (marked as ER on the marksheet).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: What is the exact date for CBSE Class 12 Result 2026?

As per the latest updates from the board, the result is expected to be released around April 30, 2026, likely at 11:00 AM.

Q2: Can I apply for re-evaluation if I am unhappy with my marks?

Yes. CBSE will open the portal for Verification of Marks and Re-evaluation approximately 5 to 7 days after the result declaration.

Unlike Class 10 students (who can fail in two), Class 12 students are only allowed a compartment in one subject. Failing in two subjects results in an "Essential Repeat" status.
