The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for obtaining the scanned photocopy of Class 12 board examination answer books for 2026. The decision was taken after the official CBSE website faced heavy traffic and technical disruptions in recent days.
According to the latest notice issued on 22 May 2026, the board stated that several attempts of unauthorised interference and unusually high traffic affected the smooth functioning of the website. To ensure that students do not face inconvenience, CBSE has provided an additional day for submitting requests for scanned answer books.
CBSE has officially revised the deadline for applying for scanned photocopies of Class 12 answer books.
| Particulars | Previous Last Date | Extended Last Date |
| Obtaining Scanned Photocopy of Answer Book | 23 May 2026 | 24 May 2026 |
Students who have not yet applied can now complete the process by the revised deadline.
As per the official notification, the CBSE website has been experiencing:
Unprecedented traffic load
Technical disruptions
Attempts of unauthorised interference
Due to these issues, several students reportedly faced difficulties while accessing online services related to board examination post-result activities.
To avoid inconvenience and ensure equal opportunity for all students, the board decided to extend the application deadline.
CBSE has also informed students that they will get up to two days after receiving the scanned answer book to apply for:
Verification of marks
Verification of issues observed
Re-evaluation process
This means students will still have sufficient time to review their answer sheets carefully before applying for the next stage.
Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations 2026 and wish to review their evaluated answer sheets can apply online through the official CBSE portal.
The scanned copy helps students:

Carefully review answer books after receiving them
