Lakhs of Class 10 students are anxiously refreshing their screens waiting for the CBSE Second Board Result 2026. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the Class 10 Second Board Examination (Phase 2) — introduced under NEP 2020 as an improvement and compartment opportunity — from 15 to 21 May 2026. More than 6.68 lakh students appeared for it, including those looking to improve their Phase 1 scores and those in the compartment category. While CBSE officials had earlier indicated a target date, the board has not yet issued an official notification confirming exactly when the CBSE Second Board Result 2026 will go live. Here's everything students need to know right now.
As of 6 July 2026, the CBSE Second Board Result 2026 for Class 10 has not been officially declared. Here's a quick timeline of what's happened so far:
Although CBSE has not officially announced the result date, officials had earlier targeted June 30, 2026, for the declaration of the Class 10 Phase 2 results. Since that deadline has passed, students can expect the result to be released in the coming days. However, candidates should note that CBSE has not yet issued any official circular confirming a revised date.

CBSE follows a best-of-two policy for the Second Board Exam: whichever score is higher — Phase 1 or Phase 2 — in a given subject will be considered for the final marksheet. This means:
Students who are unable to qualify even after the Second Board Exam will be eligible to appear for the CBSE Class 10 Compartment Examination, expected to be held in July 2026 (date not yet officially notified by CBSE). Failing to clear this attempt as well would require repeating the full academic year with fresh preparation.
The provisional CBSE Second Board scorecard will include:
Candidate's name, roll number, and date of birth
Class and father's/mother's name
Subject-wise marks and grade
Qualifying status
The online scorecard is provisional; students must collect the original marksheet-cum-certificate from their respective schools after final declaration.
