To ensure you don't face lag during the heavy traffic on the official website, follow these steps:
Navigate to the official CISCE portal: cisce.org or results.cisce.org.
Select your course: ICSE for Class 10 or ISC for Class 12.
Enter your 7-digit Unique ID (UID) and Index Number.
Solve the Captcha code shown on the screen.
Click "Show Result". Your digital marksheet will appear.
Download and take a printout for provisional use.
If the server crashes, you can still access your results:
Via SMS: Type ICSE <Your UID> or ISC <Your UID> and send it to 09248082883.
Via DigiLocker: Log in to your DigiLocker account, go to the "Education" section, select CISCE, and pull your digital marksheet using your Index Number.
Historically, CISCE releases results either in the morning session (11:00 AM) or the post-lunch session (3:00 PM). Keep your admit cards ready.
For ICSE (10th), students must score at least 33% in each subject. For ISC (12th), the requirement is 35%. Notably, passing in English is mandatory for both classes.
CISCE has moved away from the traditional compartment exam system. Students who fail to qualify in one or two subjects must now appear for the Improvement Exams, the dates for which will be notified post-result declaration.
The CISCE has consistently maintained a high pass percentage. In 2025, the ICSE pass rate was a staggering 99.47%, while ISC stood at 98.19%. Girls have traditionally outperformed boys in both categories. We expect a similar trend this year with a possible slight increase in the overall performance due to the revised internal assessment weightage (80% theory, 20% internal).
Important Note: The online result is a provisional marksheet. Students are required to collect their original hardcopy certificates and marksheets from their respective schools a few weeks after the online announcement.
Q1: What details are required to check the ICSE Result 2026?
You need your 7-digit Unique ID (UID), Index Number, and the Captcha code provided on the login page.
Q2: Can I apply for re-evaluation if I'm unhappy with my marks?
Yes. You can apply for a re-check online through the official website. The fee is INR 1,000 per subject.
Q3: What if I lose my UID or Index Number?
The UID and Index Number are printed on your Admit Card. If you have lost it, contact your school administration immediately to retrieve your credentials.

Improvement exams are typically held in June or July. The official schedule is released shortly after the main results are declared.

Yes. Out of the six subjects, the marks of English (compulsory) plus the next best four subjects are considered for calculating the final percentage.
