The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will declare the COMEDK Counselling 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result today, July 17, 2026, at 4 PM. Candidates who registered for counselling and completed document verification can check their allotment status by logging in at the official website, comedk.org.
This is the first real allotment of the 2026 cycle. The mock round result released on July 14 was only indicative — today's result is binding, and it starts a five-day clock that ends in either a confirmed engineering seat or a lapsed one.
As per the official schedule, the decision-making and fee payment window runs from July 17 (4 PM) to July 21 (4 PM). Candidates who accept and freeze their seats must then report physically to the allotted institute by July 22, 11 AM. Those who want to exit the round can surrender their seat until July 22, 12 noon.

Once the result is live, you have exactly three paths — and only these three:
1. Accept and freeze the seat. Confirm your choice on the portal, complete the online fee payment before July 21, 4 PM, download your allotment letter and fee receipt, then report to the college by July 22, 11 AM. Only candidates who have accepted and frozen are eligible to report.
2. Cancel or surrender the seat. If you don't want the allotted college or branch, use the surrender option on the portal before July 22, 12 noon. Read the refund and forfeiture terms in the official brochure before you click — surrendering has financial consequences.
3. Wait for Round 2. If you weren't allotted anything, you automatically remain in the running for the next round. COMEDK conducts multiple rounds followed by a spot/supplementary round if seats stay vacant. Round 2 dates will be announced separately on comedk.org after Round 1 closes.
Carry originals along with two sets of self-attested photocopies. Candidates are advised to cross-check the exact list against the official COMEDK information brochure and their allotted college's instructions:
COMEDK Round 1 allotment letter (printout)
Online fee payment receipt
COMEDK UGET 2026 admit card and rank card/scorecard
Class 10 marks card (date of birth proof)
Class 12 marks card
Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate
Government photo ID proof
Category / KKR eligibility certificate, if applicable
Recent passport-size photographs
Round 1 is being conducted against a final seat matrix of 24,576 undergraduate engineering seats spread across approximately 150 participating institutes in Karnataka. The revised provisional matrix released on July 7 listed 24,626 seats, split into 20,814 General Merit (GM) seats and 3,812 Kalyana Karnataka Region (KKR) seats, with new entrants added to the college list this year.
Allotment is generated by an automated algorithm using four inputs: your COMEDK UGET 2026 rank, the order of preferences you locked during the July 14–16 editing window, your category, and seat availability.
There is no grace period. If you fail to pay the fee by July 21, 4 PM, or fail to report by July 22, 11 AM, your allotted seat is treated as vacant and released into the Round 2 pool. Candidates in Round 1 who are unsure should note that a seat allotted is not a seat secured — the payment and reporting steps are what convert an allotment into an admission.
After Round 1 reporting closes on July 22, COMEDK will publish the Round 2 schedule, including vacant seat position, fresh choice filling and the upgrade window for candidates already holding a Round 1 seat. Aspirants are advised to track comedk.org for official notifications and avoid unofficial links circulating on social media, particularly on result day when portal traffic spikes.
