The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka is all set to conduct the COMEDK UGET 2026 entrance exam tomorrow, May 9. With the exam being held in 181 cities nationwide, over a lakh aspirants are expected to compete for seats in Karnataka’s premier engineering and architecture institutions.

To ensure a glitch-free experience, the authorities have released a stringent set of exam day instructions. Missing a single document or arriving late could lead to immediate disqualification. Here is everything you need to know to stay ahead of the competition.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Shift Timings & Reporting

The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted in three distinct sessions to manage the high volume of candidates:

Mandatory Documents: Don't Leave Home Without These

The COMEDK 2026 Admit Card (TAT) is your entry pass. Entry will be strictly prohibited without a physical copy of the hall ticket. Ensure you have the following:

  • COMEDK 2026 Admit Card: A clear printout (preferably color) of the Test Admission Ticket.

  • Original Photo ID: Any government-approved ID like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport.

  • Passport Size Photographs: Carry at least two recent color photos (the same as uploaded in the application form).

Strict Exam Day Guidelines & Prohibited Items

The Consortium has warned that failure to adhere to these rules may result in result withholding or debarment.

  1. Security Checks: Every student will undergo frisking at the entrance. Cooperate with the staff to speed up the process.

  2. Baggage Area: Mobile phones, smartwatches, and any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited. These must be switched off and deposited in the designated baggage area.

  3. Allowed Items: You are only permitted to carry a pencil, a transparent water bottle, and your exam-related documents into the lab.

  4. Verification Process: After frisking, students must proceed for document verification and digital registration before being assigned a terminal.

  5. Rough Sheets: All rough work must be done on the sheets provided at the desk. You must drop the rough sheets in the designated drop box before exiting the hall.

Q1: Can I show a digital copy of the COMEDK admit card on my phone? No. Only a physical printout of the COMEDK UGET 2026 admit card is accepted at the center.

Q2: Is there negative marking in COMEDK UGET 2026? No, there is no negative marking. Candidates are encouraged to attempt all 180 questions (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

Q3: What if there is a mistake in my TAT details? Contact the COMEDK helpdesk immediately at studenthelpdesk@comedk.org. However, at this late stage, carry your valid original ID to prove your identity.

Q4: Can I change my exam shift or center now? No, requests for changes in the allotted shift or exam city are not entertained under any circumstances.

Q5: When will the COMEDK 2026 results be declared? The provisional answer keys are expected by May 13, and the final results/rank cards are typically released in the last week of May or the first week of June 2026.
