COMEDK UGET Round 3 Seat Allotment 2026: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced the Round 3 seat allotment result for UGET 2026 counselling today, August 18. Candidates who participated in the third round can check their allotment status on the official website — comedk.org — by logging in with their application number and password.
The result follows the Round 3 choice-filling window, which was live till 2 PM on August 16, after the choice filling and editing process commenced on August 14, 2026. Seats have been allotted on the basis of the candidate's COMEDK rank, the order of preferences submitted, and seat availability in each college and branch.
Notably, this round carried a substantial seat pool — a total of 19,126 seats were available for admission in the Round 3 counselling, out of roughly 24,000 seats across more than 150 COMEDK participating colleges. Since COMEDK counselling has no domicile restriction, candidates from across India were in the fray for these engineering seats in Karnataka.
Candidates can follow the steps below to download their allotment letter:
Visit the official website — comedk.org.
On the homepage, click on the Engineering Login portal.
Enter your application number and password.
The Round 3 seat allotment status will appear on the screen, showing the allotted college, branch, and applicable fee.
Download the allotment letter and take a printout for the admission process.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 must complete the decision-making step and pay the applicable fee online within the deadline notified on the counselling portal. Missing this window leads to forfeiture of the allotted seat, so acting quickly is critical at this stage.
A few important points to keep in mind for Round 3:
Limited decision options: As per COMEDK's counselling process, candidates who had chosen 'Accept and Upgrade' or 'Reject and Upgrade' in the earlier round and have now been upgraded typically get only the 'Accept and Freeze' option in Round 3, meaning they must join the newly allotted college.
Fee and refund rules tighten: Seat cancellation options narrow considerably in the later rounds, and withdrawing after this stage can attract deduction or forfeiture as per the refund policy published in the counselling process document.
Reporting to the college: After fee payment, candidates must report to the allotted institute with the allotment letter, fee receipt, and original documents (COMEDK rank card, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, ID proof, category certificates, etc.) within the notified reporting window.
Unallotted candidates: Those who did not receive a seat, or are still hoping for a better option, should watch comedk.org for announcements regarding the subsequent round and any spot/exclusive rounds for leftover seats, including the special round for supplementary-exam-passed candidates.
Candidates are advised to go through the official Counselling Process Document 2026 on comedk.org carefully before making their decision, as choices exercised in Round 3 are largely final.
