Delhi University's Central Placement Cell has rolled out a fresh set of openings for its students, combining a paid internship track with a direct full-time placement pathway. The drive covers two connected roles — a Business Development Intern position and a full-time Business Development Associate (BDA) role — aimed at giving DU's undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students a foot into the corporate world before they even finish their degree.
The internship pays a fixed stipend of ₹15,000 per month, on top of which students can earn performance-linked incentives of up to ₹10,000 a month — meaning a strong performer could effectively take home ₹25,000 monthly during the internship itself. Interns can choose a duration that fits their academic calendar: 2, 3, 4, or 6 months.
Those who convert into the full-time Business Development Associate role step into a probation period carrying the same ₹15,000 fixed salary plus up to ₹10,000 in incentives for the first three months. After probation, the compensation jumps to a total CTC of ₹7.5 LPA, split between a ₹5 LPA fixed component and up to ₹2.5 LPA in performance-based variable pay.
Students from the 2026 batch can apply for either the internship or the direct full-time opening.
Students from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 batches are eligible only for the full-time BDA role.
The role is open to regular DU students across UG, PG, and PhD programmes.
This is explicitly a Work From Office role based in Bengaluru — students outside Delhi-NCR should factor in relocation before applying. All selected candidates, regardless of track, must attend a mandatory 10-day onsite training before formally joining. This training period is unpaid, so it's worth planning finances around that gap.
Registration is completely free with no hidden charges, and a certificate is awarded on successful completion of the internship. Interested students should apply through the official link shared by the DU Central Placement Cell — typically circulated via each college's placement coordinator or the university's placement portal. Reports around this drive listed July 22, 2026 as the last date to apply, which has now passed. If you missed it, it's worth checking directly with your college placement cell or the DU Central Placement Cell for any extension, a fresh batch, or similar upcoming drives — these placement cycles tend to open new windows through the academic year.
For a lot of DU students, the appeal here isn't just the ₹7.5 LPA ceiling — it's the built-in bridge from a paid, low-commitment internship into a real full-time offer without a separate hiring process. Business development and counselling-type roles like this one have become a common entry point for freshers at ed-tech and sales-led companies, and DU's placement cell has been running several similar drives (with firms like PlanetSpark and 19M Academy) in recent weeks, giving students multiple live options to compare stipend, location, and conversion terms before choosing where to apply.
