GATE Score vs IIT Admission — What Score Do You Need?
For M.Tech/Ph.D. admission at top IITs:
- IIT Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kharagpur: GATE Score 750–900+ (CSE/EE/ME)
- IIT Roorkee, Kanpur, Hyderabad: GATE Score 650–780
- Other IITs: GATE Score 550–680
Candidates must register on COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) to participate in IIT admissions. COAP 2026 is expected to begin in May 2026.
GATE 2026 Counselling — COAP vs CCMT Explained
COAP (for IITs & IISc):
