The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, has declared the Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2026 round 1 seat allotment result for admission to Master of Engineering (ME) and Master of Technology (MTech) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who participated in round 1 choice filling can now log in at the official website, acpc.gujarat.gov.in, using their application number and password to check their allotted institute and branch.
Along with the seat allotment, ACPC has also released the institute-wise and category-wise round 1 closing merit ranks, giving candidates a clear picture of where their PGCET rank or GATE score placed them in the final allotment round.

Candidates who are satisfied with their round 1 allotment must pay the token tuition fee online through the ACPC portal and download their admission letter between July 24 and 26, 2026. This step is mandatory to confirm the seat — failing to pay within the window can result in the seat being cancelled and released for the next round.
Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted institute or branch have two options during the same window: they can either withdraw/cancel the seat entirely, or float the seat to remain eligible for an upgrade in round 2 while keeping the current seat as a safety net (subject to ACPC's specific round 2 rules being followed).
ACPC will publish the institute-wise vacant seat matrix on July 27, 2026, based on seats left over after round 1 confirmations, cancellations and no-shows. This list will form the basis for round 2 choice filling, which typically opens for candidates who floated their seats as well as fresh eligible candidates who registered but did not get a seat in round 1.
The Gujarat PGCET is conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses for admission to postgraduate engineering and technology programmes — ME, MTech, and in parallel counselling streams, MPharm and MPlan — offered by institutes across Gujarat. Admission is based on PGCET rank, and candidates with a valid GATE score can also be considered under applicable categories.
