The mock test season for the November and September 2026 CA examination cycles has reached its most critical phase. From today, 9 September 2026, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's Board of Studies has formally kicked off the CA Final November 2026 Mock Test Paper Series I — and for the roughly 2 PM batch sitting Paper 1 (Financial Reporting) right now, the eight-week countdown to the real exam has officially begun.
But if you think this is only a CA Final story, look again. September 2026 has ICAI running mock test papers across three levels simultaneously — CA Final, CA Intermediate, and CA Foundation — all linked to exams scheduled in the coming weeks and months. This tracker covers every live mock test schedule so students at every stage know exactly where they stand and what to do today.
The Board of Studies (Academic) announced the CA Final November 2026 mock test calendar in its notice dated 10 August, confirming two full series running back to back through September and into early October.
Series I gets underway today and runs through 21 September. Series II follows immediately, from 23 September to 5 October. Both series cover all six papers in the CA Final curriculum, held on the same day order in each series, all from 2 PM to 5 PM.
This is your last structured, ICAI-backed dress rehearsal before the actual exam in November. Use it exactly as you would use the real thing.

Every paper is available in two modes and the choice matters more than most students think.
For physical mode, walk into your nearest ICAI branch or regional office. You get a real invigilation environment, a fixed desk, and none of your home distractions. Seating is limited so register with your branch immediately if you haven't already.
For virtual mode, the process is: log in to the BoS Knowledge Portal (bosactivities.icai.org) or open the ICAI BoS Mobile App. ICAI uploads the paper by 1:30 PM — download it at that point and attempt it independently between 2 PM and 5 PM. No pausing, no referencing notes, no shortcuts — the entire value of the mock depends on sitting it honestly.
Answer keys for each paper are uploaded within 48 hours of the paper's start time on the same portal. Mark your script against the key, not to get a number but to build a subject-wise error log that drives your revision over the next few weeks.
For physical mode registration: visit the BoS MTP Registration Portal, click Register Now for new users, enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth, verify via OTP sent to your registered email linked to your SSP account, and then approach the regional centre or ICAI branch of your choice to confirm your seat.
For virtual mode: complete registration on the BoS portal and download papers directly on each test day by 1:30 PM.
CA Intermediate students appearing in the September 2026 examinations are already in the middle of their own mock test cycle. ICAI's Board of Studies released the CA Inter September 2026 mock test schedule in June 2026, with BoS sessions starting from 20 August 2026 for CA Intermediate students.
The CA Inter mock test series follows the same structural pattern as the Final series — both physical and virtual modes, papers uploaded on the BoS portal, and answer keys within 48 hours. Students who have not yet attempted these papers should check the current status on bosactivities.icai.org immediately, as the window may be running concurrently with the CA Final Series I right through September.
CA Foundation students preparing for the September 2026 examination are also deep into their mock test window. ICAI announced the CA Foundation September 2026 Mock Test Papers Series I and II in its notice dated 29 June 2026, with BoS sessions running from 18 August for Series I and from 29 August for Series II.
Question papers for CA Foundation mock tests are uploaded at 1:30 PM on each test day on the BoS Knowledge Portal. The Foundation papers are shorter — typically two hours rather than three — but the same rule applies: attempt them under exam conditions, mark against the answer key, and use the diagnostic to direct last-mile revision before the September exam.
With both series wrapping up by 5 October, here is what the CA Final November 2026 countdown looks like from today:
9 September – Mock Test Series I begins (today)
21 September – Series I ends
23 September – Series II begins
5 October – Series II ends
6 October – Success at CA Exam BoS Session, Series I begins (announced separately)
2 November – CA Final November 2026 examination begins
13 November – CA Final November 2026 examination concludes
That is roughly eight weeks from today's first mock paper to the first real exam sitting. The 9 September to 5 October mock window is your most structured preparation resource in that period — use both series fully, not selectively.
Third-party CA test series have their place, but ICAI's own mock test papers carry something no coaching institute can replicate: they are the closest publicly available approximation of the actual question paper in terms of difficulty calibration, coverage, and presentation expectations. ICAI designs these papers to reflect what the actual examiners are likely to test. The answer keys also give you ICAI's own model answers, which is the presentation standard your actual answer sheets will be evaluated against.
Students who sit both Series I and Series II effectively run two complete mock exams per paper before November. At six papers per series, that's twelve full three-hour exam simulations between now and 5 October. No offline study plan gives you that kind of structured, exam-condition pressure in this timeframe.
