The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has released the IGNOU Practical Date Sheet 2026 for the June Term-End Practical Examination (TEPE) on its official website, ignou.ac.in. According to the schedule issued by the Student Evaluation Division (SED), the IGNOU TEPE June 2026 will begin on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, and — as per the currently notified course list — will run up to Monday, 3 August 2026, with a handful of courses still to be scheduled.
The practical examinations will be held offline, at IGNOU-allotted study centres and Learner Support Centres (LSCs) across India, in two shifts — Forenoon (FN) and Afternoon (AN).
The date sheet covers practical-based Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate programmes, including PGDAST, MSCIS, PGDIS, ACISE, MSCGI, PGDGI, PGCGI, BSCAEY, CRCS, DBPOFA and CCITSK. Learners are advised to verify their programme code, course code, batch allotment, date and reporting time before appearing.
Notably, the practicals begin one day after the June 2026 theory TEE concludes on 21 July 2026 — leaving zero buffer. Students sitting both must plan travel and centre logistics now.

*Students should cross-check the MSTL003 entry against the official PDF and confirm with their study centre.
This is the single most misread part of the PDF — and it decides whether you show up at the right hour.
For laboratory courses such as MSTL001 and MSTL002, the same course appears in both the forenoon and afternoon columns. That does not mean two exams. It means the centre splits enrolled learners into two batches because lab benches, workstations and software licences are finite:
BATCH-1 → Forenoon session
BATCH-2 → Afternoon session
You are not free to pick. Your batch is allotted by your study centre / LSC. If your batch isn't printed on your intimation, call the centre before 22 July — do not assume forenoon.
| Code | Programme |
| PGDAST | PG Diploma in Applied Statistics |
| BSCAEY | B.Sc. (Applied Sciences) / Analytical Chemistry stream |
| CRCS | Certificate programme (Statistics-linked) |
| MSCIS | M.Sc. in Information Security |
| PGDIS | PG Diploma in Information Security |
| ACISE | Advanced Certificate in Information Security |
| MSCGI | M.Sc. in Geoinformatics |
| PGDGI | PG Diploma in Geoinformatics |
| PGCGI | PG Certificate in Geoinformatics |
| DBPOFA | Diploma in BPO Finance & Accounting |
| CCITSK | Certificate in Information Technology / IT Skills |
If your programme code is not on this list, your practical is being scheduled separately — see the "pending courses" note below.

Reporting instructions
No — IGNOU does not issue a separate admit card for TEPE. Practical examinations are conducted at the study centre / LSC level, and centres intimate their allotted learners directly by email, phone or notice board.
For the June 2026 cycle, the Hall Ticket / Admit Card for ODL learners went live on 22 May 2026, and learners can download it from the Samarth portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in using their username and password. The official notice also makes clear that requests for change of examination centre will not be entertained.
Carry to the practical centre: your June 2026 TEE hall ticket, a government photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Driving Licence / Voter ID), your enrolment number, and any lab record or file your centre has asked for.
Three MSCIS courses — MSEP038, MSEL032 and MSEL037 — carry a "will be updated soon" marker on the date sheet. Learners enrolled in these must keep checking the IGNOU Announcements page and their Regional Centre website. IGNOU has been issuing schedules in tranches this cycle, so a supplementary notification is expected.
The main SED date sheet isn't the whole picture this year. On 16 July 2026, the Regional Services Division issued a separate Practical Examination Schedule for June 2026 TEPE for PGDAST and BSCAEY programmes at LSC 07162 under RC Delhi-1. Separately, on 9 July 2026, the Student Evaluation Division notified the Schedule of BLIS Practical Examination for the June 2026 Term-End.
Action: check your Regional Centre's website in addition to the main portal. Delhi-1, Delhi-2 and other RCs are publishing centre-level batch splits that the national PDF does not carry.
IGNOU has not announced an official result date. Based on past cycles, TEE results are typically declared roughly 30–45 days after exams conclude and are published in phases — pointing to a mid-to-late August 2026 window on ignou.ac.in. The IGNOU Grade Card consolidates marks across assignments, theory, practicals and project work — so your TEPE score will not appear as a standalone result, but as a component on the grade card.
July 2026 admission and re-registration extended to July 31. On 16 July 2026, IGNOU extended the last date for submission of the Online Fresh Admission form for all notified ODL and Online programmes for the July 2026 session till 31 July 2026, and extended the Online Re-registration deadline to the same date. The extension was announced through the university's official social media handle.
Fraud advisory issued. IGNOU has advised students to rely only on the official website for notifications, admissions, examination services and results, and to stay vigilant against unauthorised agents, brokers, intermediaries, unofficial websites, social media accounts and WhatsApp groups claiming to provide university documents — stating the university will not be responsible for losses arising from such dealings. Download your date sheet only from ignou.ac.in.
India's first open-university M.Sc. in Climate Change. IGNOU has become the first Open University in India to launch an M.Sc. Climate Change programme — a two-year, 80-credit degree open to graduates of any discipline, with an exit option of a PG Diploma in Climate Change after year one.
36 PhD programmes opened for July 2026. IGNOU invited applications across 36 disciplines under the UGC Ph.D. Regulations, 2022, with a mandatory viva for all categories and a Rs 2,000 application fee.
IGNOU–OSOU academic MoU signed. On 4 July 2026, IGNOU signed a five-year MoU with Odisha State Open University covering joint programmes in AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, Digital Humanities and Indian Knowledge Systems. Vice Chancellor Prof. Uma Kanjilal said the next phase for ODL institutions is to embrace AI-enabled learning management systems, on-screen evaluation and mobile-application-based learning.
