The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have released the Round 1 seat allotment result for 2026 admissions today, July 24, on the official counselling portal, iiseradmission.in. The result is meant for candidates who qualified the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 and completed counselling registration and choice filling between July 2 and July 9, 2026.
This year's cycle is significant because the KVPY and JEE Advanced entry routes have been discontinued — IAT 2026 is now the only pathway into IISER's BS-MS Dual Degree and select four-year undergraduate programmes, making Round 1 allotment the first real checkpoint for nearly all aspirants in the pool.
Candidates can follow these steps to check and download their Round 1 seat allotment letter:
Visit the official portal: iiseradmission.in
Log in using your registered application number and password.
Navigate to the "Seat Allotment" or "Counselling Status" section on the dashboard.
Your Round 1 result will display your allotted IISER campus and programme (if any).
Download and save the seat allotment letter as PDF.
Keep this letter safely — it is required through document verification and final admission.
There is no separate roll-number-based public result link; access is only through the individual candidate login.
Candidates allotted a seat must decide whether to "Accept," "Accept and Float," or "Decline" the offer.
Choosing "Accept and Float" keeps you eligible for a higher-preference campus in later rounds while retaining your current seat.
The Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) must be paid by July 28, 2026 to confirm the Round 1 offer. General/OBC candidates typically pay around Rs 25,000, while reserved-category candidates pay a lower fee — the exact amount will reflect on your individual allotment letter.
Failure to pay SAF within the deadline results in automatic cancellation of the offer, and the seat returns to the pool for subsequent rounds.
Round 2 seat allotment is scheduled for August 1, 2026, followed by further rounds (IISER typically conducts up to 8–9 rounds depending on vacancies).
