Eligibility Criteria for India Post GDS 2026

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) from a recognized board.

• Mathematics and English must be compulsory subjects.

• Knowledge of the local language of the concerned postal circle is mandatory.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 40 years

• Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other reserved categories as per government norms.

Salary is paid under the Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) along with applicable allowances.
