Is the CBSE Class 10 result 2026 second board out? No. It is not out.
As of Friday, July 10, 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education has not declared the Class 10 Second Board Examination Result 2026. There is no active result link on cbseresults.nic.in. There is none on cbse.gov.in. Nothing has appeared on DigiLocker, on the UMANG app or on Parinam Manjusha. The board has not issued any official notification naming a result date or a result time.
If you have arrived here after seeing a headline, a screenshot or a forwarded message suggesting the scorecard is live, that information is false. This page carries the verified status and will be updated the moment it changes.
Not declared. No official date. No official time. No link. Expected second week of July 2026.
Over 6.68 lakh students appeared in the CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 examination, conducted in pen-and-paper mode between May 15 and May 21, 2026. Of these, close to 5.25 lakh sat the papers to improve their Phase 1 marks. A further 85,285 candidates appeared under the compartment category.
This is the largest cohort ever to sit a second-chance board examination in India, and the first in the history of CBSE to do so under a two-board structure.
This is the source of nearly all the confusion, and it is worth understanding clearly.
During a webinar on the two-board examination system, CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj indicated that the board intended to declare the Class 10 second board result by June 30, 2026. Former CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh separately explained the reasoning: the board wanted the entire examination cycle shut before schools moved into admissions and regular teaching for the new session.
That remark was spoken. It was not a gazetted notification, not a press release, and not a circular. CBSE has never committed to a date in writing for the Phase 2 result. June 30 came and went with no declaration, and that is not a scandal. It is what happens when a target discussed at a webinar is treated by the internet as a confirmed date.
There is also a practical reason. The 2026 cycle carries an evaluation burden no previous year had. Before a single marksheet can be generated, the board must complete evaluation, moderation and tabulation for Phase 2, and then reconcile two separate score sets per candidate under the best-of-two rule. That merge is not a formality. It runs across 6.68 lakh students and every subject each of them attempted.
The result is now widely expected in the second week of July 2026 — the week you are reading this in. CBSE has confirmed nothing.
CBSE typically declares results at 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM IST and issues a press note the same morning. There is no advance SMS alert, no email and no push notification from the board. The link simply goes live.

Use this three-point check before you believe anyone — including a news website.
Open cbse.gov.in directly. Type the address yourself. Do not arrive through a link. If the Results tab does not carry a live entry reading "Secondary School Examination (Phase II) Result 2026", the result is not out.
Look for the CBSE press note. The board issues one on declaration day carrying the pass percentage and total candidates. No press note means no result.
Check whether the scorecard actually loads on cbseresults.nic.in with real credentials. A page that accepts your roll number and returns nothing has no data.
If all three fail, the result is not out, regardless of what any headline says.
In the window between a spoken target date and an actual declaration, result-day scam traffic peaks. Please read this carefully.
No private website, coaching platform, Telegram channel, YouTube video or WhatsApp group has access to CBSE result data before the board publishes it. Not one. The board's systems do not release scores to third parties in advance. Anyone claiming otherwise is either mistaken or is harvesting your traffic, your roll number or your money.
Do not enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID or date of birth into any portal that is not a cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in or umang.gov.in address.
Do not pay any fee to "unlock" or "pre-book" your result. CBSE charges nothing to view a result.
Do not download a "CBSE Result 2026" APK file. The board has no separate result app. DigiLocker and UMANG are the only two government apps involved.

This is the single most misunderstood part of the 2026 cycle, and understanding it should lower the anxiety of every student refreshing this page.
Under the two-board structure introduced in line with the National Education Policy 2020, CBSE retains the higher of your two scores in each subject. Phase 1 was compulsory. Phase 2 was optional, permitting improvement in up to three subjects.
Worked example:
| Subject | Phase 1 | Phase 2 | Final Marksheet |
| Science | 72 | 70 | 72 (Phase 1 higher) |
| Mathematics | 65 | 78 | 78 (Phase 2 higher) |
| English | 88 | Not attempted | 88 |
Your Phase 2 attempt cannot pull your score down. This is a structural break from the old compartment system, where the later attempt simply replaced the earlier mark.
Internal Assessment marks — practicals, projects and assignments — were recorded once during the academic session and carried forward identically into both phases. Only theory marks differ.
A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject. Where a subject carries both theory and practical or internal assessment components, the 33% threshold applies separately to each component as well as to the aggregate. Theory carries 80 marks, practical or internal assessment carries 20. There is no negative marking.
| Marks Range | Grade |
| 91 – 100 | A1 |
| 81 – 90 | A2 |
| 71 – 80 | B1 |
| 61 – 70 | B2 |
| 51 – 60 | C1 |
| 41 – 50 | C2 |
| 33 – 40 | D |
| Below 33 | E (Essential Repeat) |
Your name, roll number, school number and school name, admit card ID, date of birth, subject names and codes, subject-wise theory and practical/internal assessment marks, total marks obtained, grade, qualifying status and final result.
The online scorecard is provisional. The original marksheet and pass certificate must be collected from your school once CBSE dispatches them.
The Phase 1 result, declared on April 15, 2026, recorded an overall pass percentage of 93.70%, marginally above the 93.66% of the previous year. Girls outperformed boys, 94.99% against 92.69%. Trivandrum was the top-performing region.
CBSE does not publish an official topper list. Any "topper list" you see for Phase 2 before declaration is fabricated.
Verification and re-evaluation: The verification window opens only after declaration. Students may apply online for verification, request a photocopy of the evaluated answer book, then seek re-evaluation of specific questions. Re-evaluation fee: Rs 100 per subject. Answer-book photocopy fee: Rs 500 per subject. Exact dates confirmed in a separate CBSE circular.
If you did not clear Phase 2: You may be eligible for the compartment examination, expected in July 2026, with the result anticipated around the first week of August 2026.
Class 11 admissions: The provisional marksheet issued after the April 15 Phase 1 result remains valid for provisional admission to Class 11. Schools have been asked to proceed rather than wait on Phase 2 outcomes. A pending result will not cost you a seat.
