The recruitment drive covers a total of 462 posts, divided as follows:

  • Graduate Apprentice: 273 vacancies

  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: 189 vacancies

  • OBC candidates: Valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the prescribed Government of India format

  • EWS candidates: Income and Asset Certificate for financial year 2026-27

  • PwBD candidates: Valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority

VSSC Apprentice Selection Process 2026: No Written Exam

A key highlight of this recruitment is that there is no written examination. Selection will be entirely merit-based, with candidates shortlisted according to the highest marks obtained in their qualifying examination. Reservation rules will apply as per Government of India norms.
