The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), one of the lead centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has opened a major opportunity for young graduates and diploma holders. The space agency has announced 462 apprentice vacancies to be filled through a one-day walk-in selection drive on July 25, 2026, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Unlike most government recruitment processes, candidates do not need to register or apply online. Applications will be accepted only in person, on the day of the walk-in interview itself — making this one of the most accessible ISRO recruitment drives of 2026.
The recruitment drive covers a total of 462 posts, divided as follows:
Graduate Apprentice: 273 vacancies
Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: 189 vacancies
The vacancies span multiple engineering and technical disciplines, offering candidates from diverse academic backgrounds a chance to train at India's premier launch vehicle development centre.
Date: July 25, 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Venue: VSSC Pavilion, Karthika Thirunal Government Vocational and Higher Secondary School for Girls, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram
Candidates should reach the venue well before time with a complete set of documents, as applications submitted only at the venue will be considered.
Candidates must carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies of the following:
Degree or Diploma certificate
Consolidated mark sheet
Class 10 certificate (as proof of date of birth)
One passport-size photograph
Experience certificate, if applicable

OBC candidates: Valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the prescribed Government of India format
EWS candidates: Income and Asset Certificate for financial year 2026-27

A key highlight of this recruitment is that there is no written examination. Selection will be entirely merit-based, with candidates shortlisted according to the highest marks obtained in their qualifying examination. Reservation rules will apply as per Government of India norms.
VSSC has advised all applicants to carefully verify their eligibility before attending the drive and to ensure their document set is complete to avoid last-minute inconvenience on interview day.
