
The countdown has begun for one of India’s toughest engineering entrance exams. IIT Roorkee, the organizing institute for JEE Advanced 2026, is all set to conduct the examination this Sunday, May 17, 2026. Over 2.5 lakh qualifying candidates from JEE Main are expected to appear across 221 Indian cities and 2 international centers (Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu).
The JEE Advanced is a marathon of the mind, consisting of two compulsory papers. Candidates must appear for both sessions to be eligible for the merit list.

The hall ticket is your golden ticket to the IITs. If you haven't downloaded it yet, follow these steps immediately:
Visit the official portal: jeeadv.ac.in.
Click on the "Admit Card Download" link.
Enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Mobile Number.
Print a color copy (ensure your photograph and signature are crystal clear).
Important Note: In case of any discrepancy in the details, contact the Chairman of your respective Zonal IIT immediately.
To avoid last-minute stress at the gate, ensure you have these items ready:
Printed Admit Card: Digital copies on phones are strictly prohibited.
Original Photo ID: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport (Original only).
Stationery: Transparent ballpoint pen.
Personal Hygiene: Transparent water bottle and a small bottle of sanitizer.
Prohibited Items:
Smartwatches, mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and any jewelry are strictly banned. Shoes are generally not allowed; candidates are advised to wear open footwear like sandals or chappals.
With only hours left, your focus should shift from "learning" to "managing."
Say No to New Topics: Introducing new concepts now will only trigger anxiety. Stick to what you know.
Formula Sprint: Spend time reviewing the Scribble Pad techniques and high-weightage formulas in Physics and Chemistry.
The 2.5-Hour Gap: Between Paper 1 and Paper 2, avoid discussing the morning session. Eat a light snack, stay hydrated, and keep your mind fresh for the second half.
