According to the official NTA calendar, the JEE Main 2026 April session will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. Historically, the NTA releases the city slip approximately 10–15 days before the commencement of the exam to facilitate travel arrangements for students.

Expected City Slip Release: Mid-March 2026.

Many candidates confuse the city intimation slip with the actual hall ticket. It is important to note:
City Intimation Slip: This is a preliminary document that only discloses the allotted exam city and the date of the exam. It is issued early to help students plan their logistics.
Admit Card: This is the mandatory document required for entry into the exam hall. It contains specific details like the exact exam centre address, reporting time, and shift timings.
Pro Tip: While you do not need to carry the city slip to the exam centre, you must carry a printed copy of the Admit Card along with a valid ID proof.
